No one cares if 50 or 100 or 100.000 die from terrorist attacks in Pakistan or some other "non-west" country.
You will surely not have a Facebook "put the pakistan flag on profile" option - that's guaranteed.

Now, on the other hand - if 10 people were killed by terrorists in, let's say, Austria or Netherland or UK .... oh boy!

It is Pakistan, where these things are a daily occurance. Do we have breaking news when someone gets killed in Syria? No. Same about Pakistan.

Western nations on the other hand is just starting to see terror hence the different reaction.

OMG he's freaking Iranian, of course it was sarcastic.

And as the very first poster said, who gives a #, no westerners died.

Do I have to put up a emoticon so you know that's sarcasm also?

That's because they kill themselves on a regular basis and in the west it is an anomaly.

That depends; do you understand Poe's Law?

Apparently, not for very long.

See that's just it. I have an aversion to laws. Except Ohm's Law of course.

Yes you really should

I don't know you from the next random stranger on the internet so how am I supposed to know whether you're being serious or sarcastic just from a simple line of text ? When there are others would say the same thing and actually mean it ?

Or should I just assume everyone is joking and take nobody at face (text) value ?

I don't see a need to resist the laws that make sense though.

... and now I'll just see myself out.

Ah but see Discotech, I do know you. I've read plenty, I'm also familiar with haman.

Perhaps I see it a bit differently. When you hobnob with other fellas enough you tend to gauge such things. ....um like me for example, although I'm not entirely surprised at least two of jumped to defend that position, it's really irrelevant. I was only joshing anyhow but making it clear he was being sarcastic since I didn't see him post a response to it.
relax.

By the way I like your Capawata avatar
unless I'm misremembering.

This is so terribly sad. What sort of world are we living in where families with innocent children cant just enjoy being alive and celebrating with like minded people at a park! I just want to cry at this utter and senseless destruction of another human being. Sending love and prayers to the victims and their loved ones affected by this.

I wouldn't know only liberals have trouble with it ,at any given time ...literally LOST.
Other than that others understand me fine.
What is your confusion exactly?

I just assume everybody is saying what they mean, obviously I know when people are being "sarcastic" or sarcastic
but I honestly didn't know where Haman was from.

And if it happened again I'd do the same, I got no regrets jumping to defend against what appear to be bigoted remarks aimed unjustly at an entire demograph because there's a lot of it going around on here and it's rather worrying how narrow minded people are becoming on this site.

As for my avatar, you must be misremembering as my current one is Iron Man's Hulkbuster

" it's rather worrying how narrow minded people are becoming on this site. "
I think" immature" is the appropriate connotation here....
Can a generation of ATSers be dying off lately?
I think its certainly a factor....

These muslim savages targeted a childrens playground as the dwindling Christian minority was celebrating Easter Sunday in the park.

It is being reported the majority of victims are women and children.

This is a new low for jihadis and their enablers/apologists.

It has been confirmed that Christians were the intended target of these muslim terrorists.

Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter group affiliated with the Pakistani Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the attack, adding: 'The target was Christians.'

Not Daesh but Taliban? Hmmmmm, it's not looking good for Islam as a whole. Someone in Pakistan knew this was going to happen just as some neighbors in Brussels expected something, just as a neighbor in San Bernadino suspected something, etc, etc. . . . . none dared say a thing. Time to profile. If you see any Muslims acting odd call it in, better safe than sorry. Not one of our lives is worth their sick thinking.

Their culture is too far removed from us, they do not fit in. And if anyone wants to take me on I've heard from their own mouths what they think of us, and have had stones thrown at me two times in Paris, etc, etc, etc. And the moderate muslims change to extreme when family members from their home country visit and put pressure on them. I consider them like the Mafia.

They've declared war on Christendom wherever they find it be it in Pakistan or Europe or Africa or Asia or America.

Until a true Muslim decided to teach infidel versions of Muslims a good lesson .

Oh please.... Don't turn a massacre into an excuse to spew your ignorant rhetoric all over these forums

There's 1.6billion Muslims in the world, 99.9% of them do not go around blowing themselves up

It's tragic what happened in Lahore but don't try to turn it into something that it is not, there are sick individuals in all races and religions who do evil deeds daily

Oh come on it was blindingly obvious he was having a dig at the "all muslims are evil rhetoric" that many here on ATS espouse to.

According to this article, Daesh were planning attacks on churches today throughout Europe.

www.express.co.uk...

Have you seen people who have rabies ? its almost an extinct disease nowadays but the patients do really attack others just because they're sick .

these people have rabies . seriously . how can someone attack a group of people who have gathered inside the house of God to pray for him ?

Normal people wouldn't . those with rabies however, would .

Tell me,

if you had a home in California and you had family and extended family coming to visit you from Iran (not Persia) would you go out of your way to pray five times a day? Would you change your normal routine and habits while they were here? Would it worry you every time they called home to give a report to other family members and their impressions of your family? Would it scare you if they decided you were a bad Muslim in their eyes and would it worry you if they told extended family and friends, some who lived in your area such?

From experience with friends here, you would be terrified with great concern for your family. Total Mafia.

This is the 4th big terrorist act in one week!

It seems the radicals may well be ramping up their war!

Let's see if this week coming has any?

Has a week ever gone by without an islamic terror attack somewhere in the world?

I wonder if Canada/Trudeau will finally recognize the Islamic genocide of Christians now.
