First, have you read Talmud?

Not all of it. Read the articles you seem to be basing your claims on though. It isn't the Latin acronym INRI (which has long adorned christian torture iconography around the world) that they seem to have a problem with.

Second, Pope Francis explicitly stated that theories of evolution and Big Bang don't conflict with his theological views. He is quite scientific, as he has an associates degree in industrial engineering and a masters in chemistry.
Third, he is lenient and not judgemental toward LGBT in Catholic Church.
Fourth, he would rather kiss the feet of Muslims than believe in Catholic God, but that was already in OP. I suggest you read my collection of evidence more carefully.

Thanks for the suggestion.

So he thinks an imaginary sky wizard used the big bang and evolution, how progressive. Therefore he has discredited Christianity (as this wipes out much of the old testament) and believes in a revisionist version. That's better than nothing eh, after all, the Vatican rather progressively even forgave Galileo in recent times...after 350 yrs or so.

Yes, very lenient on gay people while in the end also towing the official primitive church line.

POPE Francis on Friday opted for no change in the Catholic approach to homosexuality
www.news.com.au...

Among his teachings and stands, he strongly affirms church teaching on the intrinsic immorality of homosexual practices, though he teaches the importance of respecting homosexual persons. He strongly opposed legislation introduced in 2010 by the Argentine Government to give legal equivalency between true marriage and homosexual partners.

To give you some idea of the basic Catholic stance.

On gender equality.

"[O]n women priests, that cannot be done..."

For all his beautiful words about equality, dignity, and not being “afraid to do new things,” Francis still cannot seem to connect his ideals with the church’s perpetuation of inequality, disempowerment, and sexism.

He also leads an organisation well known for promoting anti science and other lunacy to the heavily afflicted third world, in effect promoting the spread HIV and AIDS.

Not to mention the belief in demonic possession and exorcisms.

In any case, earlier to your post I've stated that my conspiracy angle is obsolete, and instead I'd like to concentrate on how Francis's views fit within a class structure.

An ordinary man who leads an organisation that is stuck in the middle ages and ultimately, after all the empty words, reaffirms their position.

Is he a two-faced critter then? All high class people in power use the same strategy. Like Nicholas II, for example, who made it seem like he was helping the poor, lower class workers, whereas in fact he was only protecting the higher class interests and especially maintaining his traditional autocracy.

Who knows. He obviously knew all along that it was an organisation who cling to an old book as if it were immutable revealed wisdom (it isn't that) and understood what that entailed. No need even pretending someone is scientific if they believe in exorcisms though.

The pope like all other popes in the past is still the same figure. His job is the same as the popes in the past: Maintain oligarchical control over over state power, and especially over Italy. Infiltrate as many countries as possible with priests and others to extend the Vatican's information control, in a fashion which is partly similar to the information control that Venice was allowed to extend over Europe, until somebody decided that the world had enough of Venice.

Uninteresting. Except perhaps for his influence on so many people.
