Yeah hopefully he can get 15% in national polls so he can be included in the debates with the republicans and democrats.

If he can successfully get into the debates this cycle, I certainly think it is possible for us to elect a third party candidate this time around.

Here is one more who voted for him in 2012 and will be doing so again this cycle.

I read just yesterday that Johnson came in at 10% in a new poll. If he can get in the general debates, and Jill Stein for the Green Party, I think the two-party system as we know it -- and hate it! -- will be done.

I don't want to jinx anything, but It's sure looking promising this year

I don't know about promising...but I'm liking the trend, a lot.

This is why, if we're not liking the two major party candidates for whatever reason...instead of not being involved in the process, find a third alternative and vote for them!! That is what is going to make the change happen, not sulking on the couch at home.

I've already got my Gary Johnson button...and I've already been called names for wearing it. So all is good!!

I agree! It's depressing because if everyone who liked him as their candidate but refuses to vote for him because they think he won't get elected actually just voted for him... he may just get elected!

Self-defeating logic at it's worst. People complain we have lost our voice, I believe there is still a chance to take it back. Hopeless romantic and all that.

But I do agree it looks more promising this year. The establishment will fight it tooth and nail but if we scream loud enough, he may just get a fair shake!

LOL! Yes, promising may be a little optimistic -- at least for any chance that he'll be elected. But I think we can be confident that he'll get the 5% needed to give the Libertarian Party equal footing going forward...

Exactly! They play the game... we have to play it better and beat them at their own game!!! They don't care who doesn't vote. They just care about who votes -- and for who. We can change the game if we just change who we vote for. To paraphrase Einstein, the definition of insanity is to keep voting for the same people and expecting different results.

Good for you! (Even the haters -- folks are noticing and that's a good thing!) I soooooo need to do that...I sat down to order bumer stickers and signs one day and got interrupted and never got back to it.

That's about it. And there's really nothing worse than self-defeating logic. For all my complaining about politicians, it's especially disheartening to see so many voters limit themselves -- limit all of us -- and not even try. I expect politicians to screw us over. But we the people should know better and do better. I guess it's about that "path of least resistance" and all that. I really don't know.

There's enough screamers out there this election to go around. I don't think Trump has nearly as much support for his actual stated positions as he does for his anti-positions so to speak. Perhaps Bernie as well. I just think the supporters of both are more anti-establishment than pro-Trump or Pro-Sanders. I believe many could lean toward Johnson at some point depending on how things go. The more the establishment fights us, the more folks are going to fight back. This election could be the game changer.

Hopefully Gary,John or Austin will debate the democrats and republicans.

We need more media exposure.

The independent party keeps looking more appealing. The democrats are too mcuh bleeding heart and the republican party is a train off the rails. Both are moving too fast and things are flying. It's a scary world.

Sometimes I think it'll always be a scary world because leading is not easy and no matter how much we want to htink it's, it's not. I think of the old proberb "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." It might be unavoidable. Leading is a tough job and pleasing everybody is impossible.

So say we decentralize everything to reduce corrupt or something? Well--sorry to say--that will have drawbacks too. No silver bullet.

Sorry for being pessimistic. I have some optimism or I wouldn't be posting here at all. Gary Johnson is like fresh air compared to Trump.
