Lawsuit Filed by Giffords Shooter May be a Hoax, Possibly Linked to Kalamazoo Shooter

Tucson News Now released the story of a lawsuit filed by Jared Lee Loughner, the man serving time for 2011 shooting then Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and others, resulting in 6 deaths and 13 wounded. This ludicrous lawsuit names Giffords and the Bureau of Prisons and seeks $25 million for emotional and psychological distress. Loughner's possibly hoaxed suit is eerily similar to a similar suit filed by Kalamazoo shooter Jason Dalton, and the similarities of handwriting and format is leading some authorities to believe both may come from or were aided by the same source.

Claims included in Loughner's suit:

• Loughner is innocent and was hand-picked to be an assassin. • Giffords was never shot and learned to act the part by watching Ronald Reagan movies. • Loughner is being waterboarded every day by agents from the NSA, CIA and ATF. • Microchips have been placed in his head and he is the victim of a worldwide conspiracy. • Giffords is part of the Illuminati, a supposed secret organization of the most powerful people in the world. • Loughner is being targeted with chemtrails, which have made him sick and delusional. • Giffords help set up rancher Cliven Bundy. • Mark Kelly, Giffords' husband and a former American astronaut, planted illegal spy equipment in the skies to spy on Americans.

Both cases are creepy in the scope and details of the damages sought, and are common in the blame for their actions laid at others feet. Efforts are currently being made to authenticate the validity of Loughner's suit, and results will definitely be filed in the "weird" column.
