You know exactly what words. In fact, anytime he opens his mouth the words come forth.

You know exactly what I'm talking about but the problem is since you support him you'll deny he ever meant to say such things. You'll make excuses for him and we've heard them all already. So, as usual, we agree to completely disagree.

I don't get it.

Never before have I seen folks hate so much not just on a candidate, but on their supporters as well. Just ridiculous.

Amazing especially from the Bernie supporters.

They spend so much time bashing Trump, but never seeming to realize that the largest threat to their candidate is Clinton. If she gets the nomination, they won't even get to vote for Bernie, really. If it came down to Trump vs. Bernie, Bernie wins hands down. So why not direct the ire to the one person standing in Bernie's way? Just mind boggling.

I'm actually a pretty unapologetic Trump supporter. The guy's an ass. He's a misogynist, a bigot, and kind of a horrible person. But, Hillary is pretty awful too. (and bought and paid for by special interest groups, even our enemies). I like Bernie, just can't afford his ideas (and frankly, we'd be voting for his VP pick, as he's basically one foot in the grave). At least Trump is his own man. Thing is, his ideas are good (by this, I mean the ideas in his book). I believe his ego simply won't allow him to fail. And frankly, I'm SO fed up with the status quo, that even potentially wrecking it for 4 years is preferable to choosing the establishment's go-to gal. Simple as that.

But, he'll never beat Hillary's numbers unfortunately....so all of our talk here is moot. Because the die has already been cast. We're just going through the motions.

You know what? I am not a Trump supporter, but I don't hate him either like you clearly do. When I see so many people reacting blindly like this. It makes me re-evaluate whether or not I should be supporting him. Clearly, he's over a target if he has so many enemies.

There's a Churchill quote on that ...

So an effing shirt will define who you are as a person and you are okay with that?

Oh, and we can't blame the media? Really?

We can't blame a mouthpiece that puts so much spin on any topic that we have to cock our heads to understand what they say????

REALLY?

Useful idiots....

So many useful idiots.

It is so easy for people to play on the "feelings" that get in the way of rational realization.

The Media is the voice of treason. It takes meme propaganda to the next level. It is responsible for the ignorance of the vast majority of ailments that plague this country..

The media tells you that up is down, left is right, 2+2=5. The economy is fantastic, and the hardship is an illusion.

Oh, and the root cause of all of our problems is some sh*t in the past, that few if any are alive to atone for, so we should feel guilty and atone for the sins of those who came before us..... WT EFF? I've never owned slaves, I've never oppressed a minority. I've only worked my entire life to help people make a better life for themselves.

Call me an idiot.

If you spent as much time in real life actually trying to make a difference as you spend here on ATS trying to derail threads you didn't agree with, you might actually contribute to a world that is moving past your simplistic view.

I actually contribute to the real world... Guess my WATS score is a tribute to that.

-No, a shirt will not fully define me. I was only speaking to reactions to a garment or other item that would denote a candidate within the scope of this thread.

-I don't blame the media. People are personally responsible for the level of influence they accept from any source.

-I will not call you an idiot.

-Again, simply because I disagree, I am told I am 'derailing threads'. That is a false argument.

-You have used a personal attack- yet another false argument. You have no idea of what I do in real life.

Right right right because the media isnt controlled by the establishment....that's yet another conspiracy concocted by the right wing nutters....

Meanwhile it is and propaganda is real and you lefties eat it up and follow the hurd.

Keep those blinders on, move along, straight ahead now dont look, nothing to see there. Don't fret precious big daddy government wont let any lies fill your ears, I am hear for you, dont listen to them, they don't love you like I do.

Im not saying Trump is the greatest and I seriously dont believe he will fix this mess, but the thing is he just might give it a really good start, just maybe. I like bernie but you lefties left him far behind and chose about the worst establishment candidate I can think of.

At least we fired our establishment candidates!! Thats a damn start isn't it? What other choice do I have besides Trump? Do tell?

-The media is controlled by something, but that is not relevant to me. I do not blindly follow anything.

-In regard to someone who could give the country a good start, you don;t just pick any fool out of a bag, click your heels together and wish 3 times. That seems to be the pervasive idea about trump. No one knows what he will do, so he might be good?

-Who has left Sanders behind?

Then it should be quite easy for you to cite specific examples, Swills. I ask you again, what words were those?

I'm sorry my man, but I'm long since past the unmitigated bullsnip of "GASP! Someone has been accused of racism! Let's quickly jump all over them without testing the burden of proof." You say Trump created this with his own words, I say prove it or you're full of crap. Seems like you're quite confident, so I can only presume you have a treasure trove of supporting Trump statements which you can provide to me... unless this is just an example of your opinions overriding reality?

Who has left Sanders behind?

The Democratic party and voters. By how much he is trailing Hillary, and your policy of super delegates.

At least on the GOP side, the establishment candidates have all been kicked to the curb.

But Hillary, not only bought and paid for by the establishment, but also our actual enemies. You guys (Dems) are falling down on the job. If you had directed your ire at her vs. Trump (who would lose to Bernie)...you'd be in a much better position. But at this rate, she's pretty much picking out colors for the Oval Office by now.

That seems to be the pervasive idea about trump. No one knows what he will do, so he might be good?

His ego won't allow him to fail.

On the flip side, Hillary is guaranteed bought and paid for evil. We do KNOW what she will do...continue to answer to her puppet masters. So yeah, we're willing to roll the dice for 4 years.

Then it should be quite easy for you to cite specific examples, Swills. I ask you again, what words were those?

Who the hell cares? He's certainly made veiled slightly racist comments (that were then way overblown by the media). He's also misogynistic, and kind of an ass. Do I care? Not really. It's kind of refreshing. That's just how fed up I am though, with the status quo, that I'd pick someone I don't really like, but who I think can get things done, that I'm willing to elect a slightly bigoted, misogynistic a-hole in lieu of the establishment candidate.

Hate? Too strong a term, though some will use it. Hate requires some personal knowledge of the hated, or so it seems to me.

In a phrase, Trump worries me. Not quite as much as Rodham-Clinton worries me, but close. So, too, does Sanders, but not to the extent of the other two main candidates...not that that is saying much.

Hate leaves no room for compromise. It's an either/or emotion, and we really need to lose it. Or we're doomed to keep repeating this cycle, time after time after time, until we blow ourselves up.

So if all 3 realistic possibilities worry you, who do you go for? Or just wait it out until there are only two? (though if the GOP gets their way, may just be 3 after all).....(which in that case, your worst-case scenario is pretty much guaranteed to win).

Trump created hate? I still have not, in ANY of the threads I ask this on, been given ONE thing to show that Trump is racist or his views are racially biased. Where is it? Why would BLM protest Donald Trump? What in their philosophy does Trump go against?

Black Lives Matter incorporates those traditionally on the margins of black freedom movements.[7] The organization's website, for instance, states that Black Lives Matter is "a unique contribution that goes beyond extrajudicial killings of black people by police and vigilantes" and, embracing intersectionality, that "Black Lives Matter affirms the lives of black queer and trans folks, disabled folks, black undocumented folks, folks with records, women and all black lives along the gender spectrum

I've been watching and listening to some of the independents.

These parties haven't decided on candidates yet either, but many of the main characters are out there talkin'. I, for one, am listening.

I've been pondering a thread to introduce some of them. More than a few have ideas worth listening to. But because of a lack of coverage, you know what their chances are.

Trump's perceived racism is more reflected in his comments towards Mexicans and Muslims. I can't think of a single thing he's said that could be taken as racist towards African Americans.

I get that. I mean last time, I voted for Ron Paul. However THIS time, I can actually vote for an anti-establishment candidate that actually has a shot, vs. just a protest vote.

The problem is he's not said anything against any Americans, period. His comments have been confined to either those in this country illegally or those yet to enter this country. His message is absolutely nationalist (and I agree 100% with him on it), but there is no "racism" anywhere in what he has said.

Fair enough, but note I said "perceived racism", and many people (especially millennials) are quick to equate nationalist comments with racist comments.

The semantics don't really matter, just the perception.

No, I don't.

You sound like one of those protesters who block Trump events, but when asked why they are doing it, "I'm not sure"

Real smart group.

Exactly.
Hillary and Soros fear Trump more than Bernie, Ted or John (Hell, Soros actually supports Kasich).
That moves him up a few notches in my book.
