Yeah, these buttons that I don't need, Facecrap, Twitter and whatever, take up to thirty seconds to load up. Really? After the page is fully done, I have to wait sometimes thirty seconds for this crap? I'm not even on FB or Tweeting so they are useless to me.

Didn't work when they were on the side and they ain't working now. SO, got anything to say? Come on, I shouldn't have to wait to read a page, not unlike any other site, so why do I have to deal with this junk here? It's a free site yada yada but come on, it shouldn't be this hard to read threads.

That problem is not happening for me. Perhaps your end?

Since the last update, have you cleaned out your cache? I know that the recent update may not work if users have the old ATS still in the cache.

Some people do have those accounts and may want to link ATS to them, to share what they read here with others. Get the word out, so to speak. All the buttons load just fine for me, so maybe it's your browser or internet connection. No one is forcing you to read any of this, but you act like ATS owes you something.

Possible, but why? The 64,000 dollar question.

Clear cookies, cache, reset browser, turn the damn thing off.

Hold a hammer over it in a threatening manner when you power it back on…

Always a good day when I get a response from you. I'll play around and see what happens. I do like the hammer answer, as it works well many times.

Instantaneous for me on all of my browsers. That's saying a lot for Internet Explorer and Edge. Both suck.

Sounds like you need to turn off hardware acceleration in your browser to start with. Then maybe run ccleaner, malwarebytes, and adwcleaner.

I'll try that stuff but last time I did that it killed Firefox. For some reason I had no backup browser and killed the computer for internet access.

Bloody crap, why can't it just work?

Never been faster for me so as others said it must be a problem your end.

As to the buttons I imagine it's a great way to get new members even if us older members do not see the point in it.

I do understand the reasons for the links but why they aren't working right for me is a mystery.

I'll get on it tomorrow as I have to go to work shortly.

If worse comes to worst then it might be worth looking into browser extensions to mitigate the issue.

If doing that stuff "killed" the browser, you have bigger problems you need to have taken care of. Also, if you are running an "internet security suite" of any kind, that can be problematic when cleaning up a machine. Especially Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, Avast, and AVG. These programs usually cause more problems than they fix.

BTW, only get ADWCleaner from bleepingcomputer.com. I can't vouch for the safety of any other sites you can download it from.

The site works better for me now than it has in any time that I can remember.

Look into the Noscript add-on for Firefox. It can prevent a lot of stuff loading on websites that will slow down your browsing if, like me, you're using an older machine.
