So as I'm character wanders around in the Wasteland, I can't help but notice some things that make me raise my eyebrows.

Everything from very advanced technology clashing with very old tech, to robots that smoke cigarettes!

The following video is simply me commenting on some of these things and some of the goofy things going on in the Commonwealth....

More of these coming up!

You would think Valentine would be vaping some robot cigarettes...
Nice vid. I try to let the inconsistencies slide with the fallout and elder scrolls games because the worlds are massive and fairly immersive. But sometimes you just have to scratch your head...

Never give your companions legendary weapons-They have 101 ways to die.

I hear you. In New Vegas I told Boone to go in silent and keep his distance-a minute later he is shouting "can't hide for me" and charged with a Hollywood style death wish. Long story short he was dead and I got his beret. Idiot.

I go solo always. I cant stand having a companion with me and trying to explore a building. For some reason the buffoon will stand and every door way, entrance, exit and ladder.
I dont know how many times poor Dog Meat got a beating.

Never , ever leave a suit of power armor with raiders near...it is as good for them as it is for you.

The only time I use my power armor is when I'm traveling in / exploring the Glowing Sea, to protect me against the rads.

the vest / pants you see me wearing in the video? I have over 100 on defense with them, using the ballistic cloth mod that I got from Tinker Tom.

Normally I try to use any existing cover, and I'm also normally a long range fighter (IE sniper). I do get nailed though, especially if I'm not paying attention and walk into a ambush. I've died many times, normally because I either went somewhere I was not quite ready for, or because I stupidly was not paying attention to my health.

Here's a video I did about 2 years ago, and you can see my fighting style (sneaky) in it. It's Skyrim vs New Vegas. Skip ahead to 3:38 in the video to get to the New Vegas part:

When i first started Fallout 4 i noticed the Ghouls (corpses ) clothing move around.

This happens when you let the body disapear from your camera view and then look back to the corpse.

i was a bit worried they might stand up and jump me from behind , so obviously took the explosive perks and vaporised any i encountered just to make sure

Whenever I see ghoul corpses laying around, I break out my silenced pistol and just start putting rounds into the bodies!

I'm a firm believer in: Better Safe Than Sorry!

That sa rule in a zombie apocalpse. ALWAYS double tap.

And you do know you can change the difficulty level to keep companions from dying right? OR when th eMODs come out for Every system just set them as essential.

I love the Fallout series and loved Skyrim, disappointed with EOS though too much like Fable now. I'm pretty much a Wasteland god but I do die occasionally when I try to go all rambo. My main character is more of a stealthy sniper but I do have a character that is straight up brute and with the power fist goes hand to hand with super mutants. I've built a pretty sweet tree house in my main encampment maybe I'll post some photo's later. Trick for anyone struggling with caps: build as many top tier water purifiers as you can in at least one settlement and collect the water earned from the workbox and go sell, I get like 200 bottles sometimes that sell for like 25 caps. For now though I am off to slay digital bodies in Black Ops III but I'll post some pics later until then happy adventuring fellow wastelanders.

I've become accustomed to spamming VATS when I'm in Ghoul infested areas, it targets the "dormant" ones that you need to watch out for, and on occasion even ones hiding behind walls and cars etc. that pounce out when you get close.

Speaking of goofy situations, some of the random encounters in the game just add that "wtf" comedy that is priceless.

Also news just came out about the new Survival Mode they are going to implement soon. In a nutshell it changes the mechanics of the game to be much more realistic. Some of the new changes are no fast travel, no quicksave (need to sleep in a bed to save), VATS is in real time, enemies no longer appear on compass, ammo weight, Fatigue meter that requires you to eat, drink and sleep or suffer health and action point penalties, Sickness that effects your resistances and makes the player contract diseases and a bunch of new survival mode specific perks like Adrenaline.

Can't wait for it to start an evil karma "Raider" character

3 new DLC's coming out soon as well, and if you were a fan of Fallout 3 and remember the Superhuman Gambit mission with the Mechanist you can really appreciate the new Automatron expansion coming out.

Are any of ya'll playing the PC version? I was thinking about getting it, but I have seen a lot of reviews for those who bought the PC version having a lot of issues. I know my machine can handle it, but makes me weary of spending money on something that doesn't work well.

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers!

I know people who have the PC version and have had a few minor problems with bugs etc. but nothing serious. Personally I got it on PS4 so I could relax on the couch and play it on the big screen.

Cool! However, I just might save my money. I just saw that No Mans Sky will be out for PC in June!

I swore I would NEVER spend $60 for a video game, but gonna break my rule for that one!

I have it on PC

Have had no real issues. My partner has a few though since he plays on the laptop. Just general FPS issues that are easily fixed by quite a few performance enhancing mods.

On my desktop though I have no issues, solid frames while heavily modded. This is the -first- Bethesda game I can actually alt-tab in without the game breaking into pieces, and the -first- Bethesda game I don't have to quicksave every 2 minutes for fear of crashes. I still do so anyway out of habit, but I found there's no need to.

Have experienced one or two bugs where a quest doesn't work or item won't show up, but a re-load will usually fix that. Got stuck on some things a few times (Don't be an idiot and jump around on tables, tables are evil) but a quick toggle collision command will fix that. That's about it for me.

Thanks!

That doesn't sound so bad. I always expect a few bugs on the PC. I will get it on the cheap at a later date!

Only issue I've had so far is some strange stuff with the ones I've killed (rag doll physics) but I normally see that everywhere.

Most YouTube videos that I've seen of people complaining or showing bugs were those using consoles.

In my case , I have 255 mods installed. Most to make the game the same level of toughness from start to end. Unlevelers , respawn every 3 hours (I think the standard time is 2 or 3 days) , more spawn points, critical hits, more creatures , spawns more legendary (you get the picture) . I could just be leaving Vault 111 and encounter a Legendary Super Mutant before I get to the gate.
That is why getting the Power Armor is key in my game. I once left a set in Concord, Went back , and one of the raiders that had respawned was wearing it...tough battle.

I'm playing the PC version, and i bloody love it !!
I did come across a major gamebreaking bug in the "Emogene Takes a Lover" quest but that should be fixed now with the updates, if not it can be fixed via console commands.

I also had the Mama Murphy bug where she somehow gets stuck in the ceiling, but that can also be fixed via console.

Another strange thing is my settlers in sanctuary seems to step a hell of a lot of time wandering around the rooftops, anyone else have this ?

I've just got the Automatron DLC today gonna give that a go real soon
