you tube restrictions.

From time to time I think of an appropriate you tube video for a thread but dont post it as it may be vulgar and contain expletives of course I wont post anything racist or that attacks any member of this forum nor pornography,torture etc but sometimes for a good laugh or to push a point the odd bit of crassness or rudeness with expletives can be valid.We are all adults here I guess this is a political correctness question,but I dont want to throw anything up that will get me banned what are some rough guidelines please.

As you said, we're all adults here. If you're concerned that a video you want to post contains coarse language, you might want to add a disclaimer stating that.

In one of the Next Level BS threads somebody was complaining how Joe uses "colorful" language. It was explained to that member that it's allowed in a video like a youtube video because it's a user initiated action. It would be best to put a warning as to language or otherwise not being safe for work along with the video so people know it has 4 letter words or whatnot.

All you need to know are in the Ts and Cs you agreed to when you joined.

Anything you post that is visible is covered by the T&C....
As has been stated, we have George Carlin video posted....we have Bill Hicks videos posted....we have rap and rock videos posted.

Where you could get into trouble is with the "cover" of the vid.
Profanity, nudity, hate speech visible on the "cover" will get the vid booted.

If the content is worthy of a disclaimer....it would be a good idea to include one.
And, you can always ask mods, either via Private Message, or the Complaint/Alert function....and that method gets the attention of all staff.

I have posted loads of vids with explicit language and the only one that was removed was because it had a swear word in the actual title of the vid therefore violating T&C's in the written form.

Yes, that is an example of what is not allowed....anything on the title/cover of the vid

No, but they do clarify allowed content. I suggest to pm a message to any mod for clarification.
