www.washingtonpost.com...

So, here is Mr Trump stating that he will take the legal route when it comes to protesters. He does not want anyone else in his crowd to be hurt or cause harm. He simply wants them taken out of a private event where charges can be pressed.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has become so exasperated with the protesters who interrupt his campaign rallies that he announced Saturday night that he wants police to start arresting them.

"I hope these guys get thrown into a jail," Trump said during a rally at a historic theater in Kansas City on Saturday night that was repeatedly interrupted by protesters. "They'll never do it again. It'll destroy their record. They'll have to explain to mom and dad why they have a police record and why they can't get a job. And you know what? I'm going to start pressing charges against all of these people. And then we won't have a problem."

I understand the need of some to try to derail the campaign but this will only bring out the real fringe loonies I fear. Maybe that is what the elite want. The spark of a protester with a BLM shirt on being shot by someone at one of these rallies. It seems this came from Mr Trump asking what happens to the protestors who are disrupting and the answer shocked him.

Protesters who are removed from Trump's rallies are rarely arrested -- a practice that the candidate says he wants to end. The topic came up when Trump wondered aloud what happens to the protesters.

"What do they do? Do they arrest these people? What happens? Do they arrest them? Or they just put them outside?" Trump said. "I hope they arrest these people because they are really violating all of us… I hope they're arresting because, honestly, they should be."

So there we have it. He is publicly stating he wants law enforcement to take care of it...not his supporters and he does not support the violence with this either.

Wait till a Bernie or Hillary rally gets over-run.

Then we will see a mass panic to enforce all laws !!!!!!

So much for the constitution....

Freedom of speech
Freedom of assembly

Trump is just running his mouth some more...He can't prosecute anyone for exercising their constitutional rights.
It's exactly this kind of fascist approach that will bring the Donald down.

Funny, when his supporters cause violence he pays for their legal fees.

So, to recap, if you're against Trump you will be arrested. If you support Trump, when you commit a crime he'll pay for your legal fees.

Um, it is not a constitutional right to assemble on private property, or express free s peach at a private venue.

It is in fact illegal to cause a ruckus at a political event that the secret service is guarding- circa Obama 2012

Goes to show just how out of touch he is with what we deal with every day.
1. They will do it again and as often as they can.
2. They have no 'record' to preserve. They're criminals.
3. It's not that they can't get a job ... they need to stay under/unemployed to keep drawing welfare.
4. Mom and Dad already know. Who do you think taught their children? They certainly don't learn in school.

Private events are not covered by freedom of speech within the venue...freedom of speech is protected publicly, hence how Universities get away with it.

Trump is right here, but all the establishments propaganda purchasers are eager to gobble it up. Trump pays for his forum.

Just try to crash at party at my house and see what you get

Trump can't prosecute anyone, he can only file charges to have someone prosecuted, so with that you are correct.

However?

H.R.347 signed by Obama in 2012 would make your statement highly inaccurate and wrong!

Trump has Secret Service protecting him right?

I think Trump will see anyone that disagrees with him as the enemy and the constitution be damned. I don't trust him and think he is playing his supporters for fools. He has another agenda....

eta....can you imagine the outrage if Obama tossed out some conservatives at a public meeting and threatened them with arrest and prosecution?

He doesn't have a problem kicking government whistleblowers and military leaders to the curb does he?

All the outrage over the VA scandal and the dirt bags in charge are still in charge aren't they?

Immigration law being TOTALLY IGNORED and he is getting away with it.

Want more?

You mean like Obama signing off on legislation that makes it a crime to protest at any political event guarded by the secret service?

Lol, pot meet kettle!

It doesn't matter anyway. It won't be the progressive/Liberals that take Trump out...I will be the corporate elitist oligarchy that simply won't tolerate any deviation from the status quo. I think Donald knows this already...he ain't stupid.

So he wants to give criminal records to people who have different views than him? That's a great way to boost the economy, making dissenters unhireable. Seriously, how can you support that?

People would be in a rage if Obama tossed out protesters at a public meeting. People would be upset with Trump too. A public meeting on Public land is one thing but Private meeting and Private land is another. And all presidents have seen any one who disagrees with them as the enemy. Bush you are with us or against us, The 99% movement ?

He wants to give criminal records to people that break the law. And yes, it is law. Obama signed it as has already been pointed out.

I think there is a difference between protesting, exercising your right to assemble and speak your mind, and behaving in violent and inappropriate ways. If a protester is putting their hands on others in a way that is harmful or unwanted, that is wrong. I do not like when people who have no business touching me do so. If a protester completely crashes a private event and the event cannot continue because of the disruption, it is wrong, as then the protesters right to free speech and assembly is getting in the way of EVERYONE ELSE'S right to free speech and assembly.

If the protester's are, however, outside of the private event and behaving in an appropriate manner (not shooting off guns, threatening violence, harassing others, etc.) and are simply speaking their mind and keeping their hands to themselves, or are inside of the event protesting silently in a way that is not disruptive to the assembly, that is a whole different scenario. Can they be thrown out, sure of course, it is a private space and the owner of that space should be able to do so. If they were in my home or on my land, I would want to have that same ability to throw a person who I do not want there out. Public space would be different. Should they be arrested, I do not think so - not unless they (as mentioned above) then go ahead and start behaving in a manner that is dangerous and harmful to others.
