My kid`s weird heads.

Ok,

So I was the first born with a pear shaped head in my family. None of my sisters have these two bumps in the back of the head that form like horn stubs. Top back both sides.

They arent protruding but pronounced. I have a pear head.

My wife has these two bumps on the side of her head. Like a different pear shaped head. Sides laterally.

My daughter has both of our bumps. In the back and on the sides.

Now is where things get weird-ER.

My son who is about a year old now, has all our bumps and what is like a neanderthal occipital bun on the back of his head. Lower back of the skull, dead center.

We are not deformed, just different. Some have square heads, slender heads what ever. Thats what I mean. We look perfectly normal, but if you feel around or look closely, we have these weird skull shapes to us that seem to be getting more pronounced.

What the hell is this? Recessive genetic traits? ( I think so) Its not a birth defect. Its normal.

Who else has any of these features, and did you ever see in your family these things getting more pronounced with successive generations like us?

Let me get a little ahead of the questions I know will come. Yes there is ALLOT of 0- type blood in my family.

My kids are 0+ though.

We have weird instances of strange things happening, and yeah its cool.

But what the hell is this? I was freaking out thinking my son has a brain tumor. It took allot of examining to determine he has a recessive genetic trait. A neanderthal occipital bun. Its our skulls. Bone. I wonder if our brains are shaped to fill these areas?

Whatever it is, can't be as bad as mine.. I have a widows peak from hell, and you know what? people don't take you as seriously when you have geometrical shapes on your head.

The pear is upside down man. That just looks silly. Get your pears shapes right!

Its much more of a kick ass weird thing that makes us feel like deformed monsters.

Maybe "bumps" isnt the best word. Its like a different shape with different curves to the skull.

Ok, so you see how in the first picture, region 12, 11 and 5 curve into a sphere in the back normally? well mine go back and protrude a bit to the sides, I think it looks like an upside down pear. Maybe I watch too many alien videos. LOL

Region 8 and 9 form a set of similar less round curves on my wife

Our son has all that like our daughter has.....

but in section 2 he has a similar extension to the skull like we do in our areas.

It makes for a perfectly shaped skull. It looks normal, but there is more room in there, or more bone or something.

But dad they told me to pick the shape head I wanted before I was born. They left out the pear shape. I am so sad.

Seriously though, any answers? If not we can just go on about what monsters we are. LOL

It is fun, but I know my son is going to ask one day and I want to do more than make fun of him. Maybe give him a theory that is not " your an alien monster" we are the pear people!

Do not eat your own, its cannibalism. Pears are sacred! We eat apples in this family so as to honor our people!

a reply to: tadaman I think if one area is more pronounced, then that means your more like the description. So if Area 2 (parental love) is pronounced, it means one is very parenting/ nurturing to kids/animals or elderly and disabled people.
So, I have areas on my head that sink in a bit and the area happens to be called Union of life. This might explain why I have dealt with a detached sense of reality of what one needs in order to live in the world. I used to think I could go without eating or sleeping for long periods of time, but the reality is, I need food and sleep to function.
I'm no expert on this subject and there has got to be better charts on the internet.
