Looks as though NK has upset two of it's big neighbors...Russia and China.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia and China told North Korea on Friday its nuclear ambitions were unacceptable, urging Pyongyang to resume talks over its nuclear weapons program and heed a U.N. Security Council resolution banning ballistic missile tests.

And the thing I find interesting is the fact China has some hard words concerning them and the NK nuclear situation.

"We do not recognize the nuclear status of the DPRK," Wang told a news briefing via a translator, using the official acronym for North Korea.

The North should "fully and comprehensively" implement the U.N. resolution, Wang said. "At the same time, we will not spare efforts to return to the six-way talks," he added.

Commenting on the North's growing nuclear ambitions, Wang said the latest U.N. resolution banning its nuclear tests must be "implemented point by point."

"We should block further development of nuclear weapons in the DPRK," he said.

Could we see China intervening in NK to help keep little Kim in check?

Russia also had some tough words for NK...

Russia's Lavrov said Moscow deemed Pyongyang's behavior "irresponsible".

"We believe that the world community's firm reaction will be interpreted by Pyongyang as a signal that there should be no such escapades in future," said Lavrov.

Russia was a close ally of Stalinist North Korea in Soviet days, but Lavrov made it clear times had changed.

"It should be clear in Pyongyang that no one is going to exonerate the DPRK for such escapades," he said, referring to missile tests.

news.yahoo.com...

Could we see Russia also intervene in NK concerning their nuke program?

They definitely can't be too happy that little Kim is hell bent on manufacturing nukes that he would try and use against the US or one of it's allies SK.

Nothing good can come from NK having nuclear weapons...especially knowing how unstable little Kim has been lately.

I for one would have no problem with Russia and China taking this and stopping it in it's tracks.

North Korea has a habit of flaunting around what little it has in an attempt to appear intimidating to others. Appeasement would do exactly what it did in the Second World War with the Nazi's, and promote this bad behaviour. Thus, even the DPRK's semi-allies have been pushing on pyongyang.

In the case of Russia and China, with their vote to suppress the DPRK's nuclear program, they have finally stopped supporting Kim Jong Un's policies, and have made that clear. This isn't really surprising, as all the DPRK has been doing as of late is embarrassing china with stupid moves.

North Korea better follow the sanctions, as there's no one to back them up now.

It's about time China and Russia put a stop to Kim's antagonistic threats! Both China and Russia will directly be affected by nuclear fallout if a nuclear exchange would ever happen between North Korea and the U.S.. They could also receive nuclear fallout if a nuclear test goes bad. Kim's a loose cannon. China and Russia need to shut him up and put him in his place for the sake of the entire international community.

As I said I am all for Russia and China putting Kim in his place...I just hope little Kim doesn't make the wrong decision that could be trouble for his hermit kingdom.

Because if little Kim stays on this path it won't end well for him.

It looks as though China who is NK biggest ally is tired of the BS, and are very vocal about it.

I don't think little Kim cares at this point, because it seems someone close to him is feeding him BS that he feels needs to be dealt with...problem is they are the BS that needs to be dealt with.

I really feel sorry for the NK people having to deal with this nut case as their leader.

It is going to get bad for the NK people from this point onwards.

China has removed NK trade from the Policy Priority List.
Stopped a lot of the banking+the new sanctions.

NK has no income from the industrial zone now. Not that anyone could take the money anyway now.

I really do think we are going to see a coup at the very least.

Juche Ideology

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is guided in its activities by the Juche idea authored by President Kim Il Sung. The Juche idea means, in a nutshell, that the masters of the revolution and construction are the masses of the people and that they are also the motive force of the revolution and construction.

The Juche idea is based on the philosophical principle that man is the master of everything and decides everything. It is the man-centred world outlook and also a political philosophy to materialize the independence of the popular masses, namely, a philosophy which elucidates the theoretical basis of politics that leads the development of society along the right path.

The Government of the DPRK steadfastly maintains Juche in all realms of the revolution and construction.

Establishing Juche means adopting the attitude of a master towards the revolution and construction of one's country. It means maintaining an independent and creative standpoint in finding solutions to the problems which arise in the revolution and construction. It implies solving those problems mainly by one's own efforts and in conformity with the actual conditions of one's own POLITICS country. The realization of independence in politics, selfsufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defence is a principle the Government maintains consistently.

The Korean people value the independence of the country and nation and, under the pressure of imperialists and dominationsts, have thoroughly implemented the principle of independence, self-reliance and self-defence, defending the country's sovereignty and dignity firmly.

It is an invariable policy of the Government of the Republic, guided by the Juche idea, to treasure the Juche character and national character and maintain and realize them. The Government of the Republic always adheres to the principle of Juche, the principle of national independence, and thus is carrying out the socialist cause of Juche

The Peoples Democratic Republic

I am not so sure lil Kim will take it so well. Here is a piece of the National website of the DPRK. They are all about self determination and refusing to let outsiders dictate their pursuit of Juche. I think they have seen the US as the enemy and now they may see China and Russia of joining in the imperialist agenda. This might just anger lil Kim more than anything. If you look at the home page it is obvious they are all about preparing for war against their lil kingdom.

I am glad to see China and Russia finally warning Kim, but I am not sure he is not going to take it as a warning more than a challenge to his ideology and his fathers and grandfathers dreams. This guy is dangerous indeed and is more likely to do something more dangerous and problematic and drag countries into a war. He may lose in the end, but bringing us to the point of war and beyond. A true psychopath.

When Russia / China publicly tell NK that their actions / rhetoric would meet international legal requirements for the threatened nations to strike NK.

I think Russia / China are doing this since every time NK acts like this there is a further shift in US military presence in the region along with an increase in defensive systems, like THAAD.

They have been somewhat vocal in the past, but they don't usually agree with the US when it comes to tough sanctions against NK .

Seeing them agree that NK is a problem is interesting since both have been staunch allies in the past. I for one am glad to see them get in and finally realize the hermit kingdom leader is a problem...not only to the US but to the whole region.
