What's weird is seeing anti-authority types who dislike the government wanting some autocratic, iron-fisted, super-authoritarian to lead them.

That's because people just like to cheer for their team, regardless of what they stand for.

As far as Trump and the entrenched politicians, I think it is what he may expose and therefore shake up versus what he would get done. Congress can keep his ideas, good or bad, from happening.
