Hmmm, I'm kinda cloudy on the dates but I think the university was after the bubble. Colleges are definitely becoming no better than Trump with their scams but at least you are actually earning and learning, degree and all. But colleges, they most definitely need to be investigated. Thats a whole can of worms in of itself!

No, not false.

www.thedailybeast.com...

In 1988, Trump sued Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune creator Merv Griffin for $250 million

Trump sued his ex-wife, Ivana Trump, for $25 million in 1992

In 1993, Trump and his then-wife, Marla Maples, sued Chuck Jones, Maples’s former publicist, for $35 million.

In 2006, Trump threatened to sue Rosie O’Donnell, then a co-host on The View

Trump threatened to sue MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell for suggesting he was worth less than $1 billion.

In 2012, Trump sued Miss USA contestant Sheena Monnin after she claimed in a Facebook post that the pageant was “rigged,”

In 1984, Trump sued the Chicago Tribune for $500 million

Trump threatened to sue ABC in 2005, after he learned the network was planning to produce a two-hour biopic about him and his family.

In 1989, Trump threatened to sue Palm Beach County if it couldn’t figure out a way to muffle the loud noises coming from Palm Beach International Airport

Trump sued New York State in 1995 when a video game, Quickdraw, based off the casino game Keno, was introduced in New York restaurants and bars.

In 1997, Trump sued the state of New Jersey.

In 2002, Trump sued New York City for $500 million

That's not even all of them...Pull your head out.

The corruption is everywhere and that's why support Sanders because he's the only one wanting to do something about it.

Agreed, I even created this thread as a libertarian in regards to Bernie.

The problem I see from many Bernie supporters is, that they are more worried about Trump than Hillary.

When they should be more concerned with Hillary and should be attacking her instead of trump, because the DNC is going to wipe their Arse with Bernie.

More recently he wants to change the libel laws to sue news media and journalists. Basically removing Freedom of the Press.

But still, who can guarantee anyones success? I have had many sales jobs in the past that others were very successful, and I sucked at it!

I realized it wasn't because I sucked, I just didn't feel comfortable cold calling people. Therefore I went into retail sales with draw and commission which made me much more comfortable because the Company I worked for did all the advertising thus bring the consumers to my door?

These people who are pissed had big dreams without realizing what the were capable of doing! I don't think any of us haven't watched some of these infomercials of how "You can own your own business and become successful!". Are they not telling the truth? Some people with the right mentality and coaching fit in very well with the right training to cold calling. I didn't. Big difference, I didn't pay to be trained.

How is a college student any different? Just because we think we can do it, doesn't mean we can, so if a college student can't get a job other than minimum wage is it the colleges fault for taking 50k out of their pocket? Or is it making the wrong choice in a career? Which brings us back to people who like to blame everyone else for their problems....

Isn't Hillary under investigation also? And if she is found guilty , wouldn't that be a felony as well?
Isn't everyone in elected office a con man?
If you make promises to get votes, and then not even try or even in most cases do the exact opposite of what you said you would do. Doesn't that make you a con man ?

Yes, that's what we're saying. So don't vote for a con man who you already know is a con man!!

Hillary is a liar. Don't vote for her.

Trump is a liar. Don't vote for him.

Freedom of the press doesn't mean they can print/say anything they want.

You know what libel is, right?

How is being able to get compensation for libel and slander a bad thing?

Laws for slander are already in place though.

So what do you think he means when he says he want's to open up libel laws???

He want's to sue and silence anyone who he disagrees with. He doesn't give a damn about what is true or not. He just wants to control who says what.

If he wasn't a billionaire, I'm sure he wouldn't be spending money on attorneys to sue everyone who pissed him off. I really think he has some mental issues, he threatens everyone with a law suit. He can't take criticism, something every president faces on a daily basis. He'll be a basket case if elected.

Sounds awful familiar, who else is demanding new laws to prevent them from feeling offended or using the system to shut down other people's opinions and demanding they have things their way?

Hmmmm, give me a few minutes......

Sorry, I don't do well with mind games. You're going to have to come right out and say what you mean or I have no idea what you're getting at.

It makes sense once you consider Trumps view. He said it himself, that to him money is a way of keeping score. If he has a disagreement with someone, getting money from them reinforces his opinion that he's the one who is right. Suing a journalist and making them pay up (or the threat causing the company to not run the story and pay for the lawsuit) in Trumps mind makes him right. Since he has billions to throw around threatening people into submission, it makes him believe he's right about well... everything.

Actually, I'm wondering if you've ever seen John Oliver's show. He very most certainly does have guests. I've watched it and seen guests, so are you getting some special "guest-less version" played on your television that I don't get? You can go look on Wiki for a list of every episode and under the section that says "Guest" you can see who he has had on his show. So, now that you know he does, in fact, have guests on his show, why would it be hard to believe that he might have tried to call Trump to ask him to appear?

Take care,
Cindi

No, he doesn't have guests. The only guests I can think of are musical guests, maybe, that he'll sing with at the end of the show. He does not interview anyone at all during his show.

no, john oliver does not have guests.

john oliver used to fill in a lot for jon Stewart on the daily show which did have guests. that might be why you remember seeing him interview guests.

trump said the show called him 5 times to be a guest - bull***. he's all ego..

Just going to post in this thread one more time, because facts don't seem to matter. If you look at the responses to my posts in this thread you will find disinformation, liberal rags as sources, and outright lies.

Trump's press conference last night clears up any questions about his "failed" businesses, if anyone here was concerned with the truth they would get it from the horses mouth instead of some liberal rag.

Lets tally up the moral score for both Trump and Bernie since that what this thread alludes to.

Trump, is successful in business (over 10 billion net worth), conservative leaning, anti-abortion. Wow, he must be a bad man.

Sanders, vagabond, never ran a thing in his life except his mouth, believes in zero abortion restrictions (see partial birth abortions), wants free healthcare and education for all (don't worry about how to pay for it). Wow, he must be the best guy ever.

I'm definitely noting some resistance to facts. I haven't watched John Oliver for a while, but I watched all of the first season and sporadically some of the second season and I specifically remember watching guests appear. John Oliver episodes with guest list I remember this guest, specifically, Pepe Julian Onziema, an activist from Uganda. It isn't like this information is unavailable even.
