Hello again fellow ATS'ers

I would like to share with you all one of the most strange experiences I've had to date. As the title specifies it involves missing time. More than looking for answers and explanations from you all, thought I would very much enjoy that, I really just want to share my story.

I would like to get a few things out of the way first. This event took place in a 'haunted' house in which i lived for a number of years and in which my mother still lives. That will eventually have its own thread as well but I would like to share this one first as it is more strange to me. I have also read a few stories about people with missing time, though they are all curious, many of them seem slightly different than my own. The main differences I notice tend to be about the amount of missing time as well as the number of people involved. Anyway, enough of all that let me just get to the meat of the experience.

I'll start off by saying living in the house there was myself, my mother, step-father, and step-brother. I'll also mention that this took place nearly 25 years ago. During the night of the 'event' my step-father, and step-brother were gone out on a weekend hunting trip. My mother had decided that she would have a small tupperware party during that time as it would only be her and myself for the weekend. She had previously made the arrangements and had invited four other people. There was the two of us, as well as my aunt, my grandmother, our neighbour, and her daughter.

The guests had arrived shortly after suppertime, which in our house was around 4:30 - 5:30. Once they had all arrived I made myself scarce as I had no interest in the stuff they were carrying on about. The last memory that I have is leaving the kitchen to head down to basement to play and entertain myself. In fact none of the people in the house that night had any recollection of what happened past that point.

My next memory was/is waking up the next morning in my mothers bed along with her. On the side of the bed I was sleeping on was a very large kitchen knife and my mother had a loaded rifle. The other guests were all together in my single bed. What makes this even more strange to me is that my mother and I had even forgotten about the waking up part until my step-father, a few nights later during supper, had mention that my mother had really terrified him when she pointed the gun at him as he entered the house returning from their hunting trip.

This is one of, if not the most, strange experience I've had. As I said I really just wanted to share the 'event' here. This was around 25 years ago and I still think about it fairly often. Out of the people who were there that night only my mother and I are still alive. I've considered hypnotism but have heard negatives things about it. I occasional bring it up with my mom, who also remembers nothing new, though I don't think she really likes to think about it the same way I do.

I think that about covers it. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you have had anything similar happen I would love to read about it. I have had several other strange experiences ( which I plan on sharing ) but this one sticks with me the most.

Thanks for taking the time.

Thanks for sharing your story. What do you think happened that night? You must have a theory or some ideas about what may have caused this. Do you think your mother knows more than she's saying? Seems like she was frightened about something or someone.

Thanks for the reply. I'm really not sure. I've had many different thoughts and ideas over the years. In all honesty, I've had a number of paranormal/strange happening throughout my life and I honestly think we really don't really know that much about this place we exist in.

I hope that is not too vague of a response.

Care to share any of them here? I would love to read it. Doesn't need to be anything like mine. Anything out of the ordinary is always enjoyable.

Absolutely, immediately after he had made the comment which gave back our memory of waking up and people shuffling off home. ( I assume to try to make sense of it themselves ).

As crazy as it sounds, it was quickly dismissed and not spoken about in our home. Which is very sad to me as this was a real 'strange' thing that had taken place.

I would also like to mention that my mom( much like me ) is a very laid back person. So her to be sleep next to a gun for me was not a normal thing!.

a reply to: Rhodin Thanks for sharing this weird experience. I can see why it wouldn't be talked about it as it seems pretty scary. I take it no one was hurt?

I don't know why it wouldn't be talked about either! My only thought was that we were a pretty poor family when I was growing up and if it wasn't a productive topic then it was nonsense. Which is also pretty sad.

Sorry, I realized I misread your post. Yes it was indeed a very frightening experience.

And yes, no one was hurt.

Sometimes, the alien abduction experiences share this particular thing. The 'victims' seems to want to 'leave alone' the event, despite that anyone would expect the exact opposite reaction. I suspect this is related to a strong hypnotic suggestion implanted by the captors.

I'm not going to say I haven't considered this. I have also had a ufo experience though it just expelled some glow and flew overhead and out of site. I really have no evidence to support abduction being the case. thought it does seem likely. I've not experienced anything similar since.

Thanks for the reply.

Were any family or guests associated with the military in any way at the time?

I've read quite a few 'abduction' stories that could be attributed to MILABS (military 'abductions' - if you've never heard the term, google it and you'll find lots of info...

...It just crossed my mind that it could have been an 'attempted' MILAB that did not succeed, because your mom and guests put up too much 'fight' (hence, the gun and knife)...

...the military has ways to obstruct memories of such events - aerosol drugs that can be dispersed thru-out the house, also electromagnetic tech that can disrupt the brain's memory capabilities...

None that I am aware of. This is an interesting thought though. We did live in a pretty small town where everyone knew each others business and seems like someone would maybe have noticed something. Though since I really don't know I can't rule it out.

Thanks for your reply

If you were asleep next to your moms bed on a knife, your mom in bed with a shotgun and guests sleeping in your single bed. When your father got home and after being accosted by a gun toting wife, where did he sleep? And your step brothers, etc.

Sorry. I realize I didn't explain that. I was sleeping in the bed. When we woke up it was light out and morning time. We all woke up within minutes. When bedtime came around that night everyone sleep in their usual places. Also I should mention that my mother wasn't running around like a crazy person with the gun if that is the way it sounds. I hope that clarifies.

All were in daytime outside and with me walking from A-B , 4 hours just vanished when i was a kid going across a field near my house it rattled me for years thinking about it .

Then a few years ago within a few weeks it happened twice both while walking by a busy road which i have done many many hundreds of times before , And i am a freak for always checking the time as i walk for some reason , Nothing can explain it to me . I have no medical conditions which could cause this and someone would notice as it is a small area but cars pass regular and if i had been staring into space like a zombie someone would have stopped .

I am still none the wiser as to what happened on those occasions but i never think of time the same way since

Don't worry, usually abduction experiences don't even involve remember seeing neither UFO's or creatures, but the devil is in the details.

The point is, you all missed time altogether (meaning, external intervention), and for some reason, didn't care into discussing it as fast as possible! That there is a HUGE red flag, because it's pretty common in several abduction experiences. 'You're not supposed to talk about this'... typical. It's a true epidemy, and incredibly, no one seems to give a # about it. Not the government, not the media, no one! How could that be?

In the meantime, the 'aliens'. highly pleased, I mean, it's perfect for them. They need it to remain in secret, and we're as society giving them exactly what they need, to stay quiet about it.

Thanks for sharing your stories! I agree that missing time no matter the amount is a very strange thing to experience.

I have experienced numerous time gaps. The latest was a couple months ago walk around all night for what seemed like 20 minutes but was like 3+ hours.

I think something might be warping time on earth.
