So if there is nothing but baiting and off topic posts about me personally lets just close the thread and end it for everyone, is that it?

I dont want to offend, and I chose your post only because I have heard this before and want to speak to it. Excuse me if it sounds like its directed at YOU., Its not.

IS that the sentiment of a people WORTHY of a working democracy? Would our population MAKE a democracy, or a representative democracy like the one we have...... if it were up to a people LIKE US?

Do we not see a problem WITH us, keeping us from everything we want?

before voting for change, shouldnt we start talking and looking at ourselves with a little bit of honesty? What fracking change? We are the same unworthy people we were last year....

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

We are insane. We wouldnt know what to do with real freedom. WHY even pretend thats what we want? WE DONT

So what is the alternative that you would propose?

I dont want to offer a solution, I only wanted to bring awareness. A solution I offer would seem to be gearing the whole show to MY solution. I want people to think of their own. Though I did allude to direct democracy. Did you not read the thread before formulating questions? Perhaps you would be better served by reading first and THEN asking what could be left in the dark on my part. If not this is all very lazy on your part.

So now we are clear.

GREAT!

LOL

Would you care to explain the nature of your accusations? It seems you wish to set a narrative not supported by my statements and entirely speculative on your part.

EDIT TO ADD:
It is difficult to answer your questions when you edit every post several times. Its almost like you are winging it, and then editing your posts to better belittle my replies. Very dishonest on your part.

EDIT AGAIN:
You just switched your question back to the original. LOL

Are you asking WHAT my solution is, or if THAT is my solution?

Please, stop changing your posts as it makes a conversation nearly impossible.

EDIT YET AGAIN:
NOW you ask what my alternative is.

Are you serious? can you stop editing your post as it makes you seem very dishonest.

Awareness that the democratic system is broken?

If have no idea what you are talking about with my supposed edits? I didn't change any words.

This is all explained in the OP and the thread. Please reread it.

as for now, You have homework. Please dont be lazy. I can not hold your hand.

Perhaps the whole subject is just over your head. It is written very plainly.

maybe stick to that one thread you like about German sausages.

This is not that difficult.

EDIT TO ADD: SINCE YOU ADDED MORE AFTER THE FACT ABOUT THE EDITS::::

Yes you did. You changed your post at every instance I mentioned. Hence why I asked for you to stop every time.

You do this allot when bickering with members. Its not conducive to honest conversation, if thats what you really want.

Its all very dishonest.

Again, I did not change any words. I did edit to add to answer post that crossed. Nothing to do with dishonesty.

No you changed your question several times.

If I had a solution, if THAT was my solution, and back again with minor edits and other variations.

Why even lie about that?

You do it all the time. Its not like others dont notice.lol

Why do it if you are going to deny it?

It IS very dishonest.

EDIT TO ADD:
well your question is answered. So we are done I guess.

LITERALLY THE LAST CHANCE, GUYS

Not kidding. If you can't discuss the OP like adults, instead of each other, then you'll loose the privilege.

DutchMasterChief: Awareness that the democratic system is broken?

It is never broken because it is rubbery, maluble as all great concepts of potential change (fitting the era we live within) are. Within this system are two parties of differing belief; one conservative (conserve the constitution) the other liberal; more socialistic and both haggle over specific ideas to come to a shared agreement. If anything was broken would come to civil war (been there done that).

right, because if you keep repeating the "democratic system is broken" long enough, people will assume it's the truth.....

I wasn't debating the state of democracy. I didn't ask a general question for anybody to answer.

Anyways I asked because the OP said this,

That really, the democracy and the will of the people we tout about are lies. That in the end, nothing will change because NOTHING about us has changed.

So you obviously disagree with the OP. He sure seems to be saying that there is something wrong with the state of democracy.

I doubt anyone with a brain will deny that things arent all peachy when it comes to the sate of democracy in this country, or even the world.

We only have an illusion of choice. Is that democracy?

Maybe to some, but most would not line that up with a democratic ideal.

Then again there isnt much else going as far as this conversation....the honesty went right our the window when the barrage of questions meant to trip up more than inform became part of the equation.

Its like a microcosm of the whole democratic process. Obfuscate, riddle with nonsense and keep people off center. The true state of democracy as exhibited by those who defend the sham.
