Why is it commonly accepted as fact that the moon affects the oceans causing tidal bulges around the planet but the same people blindly dismiss the effect on all the molten lava under the crust.

Surely the laws of physics apply to it as well which would make for a tidal lava bulge which in turn would surely raise the likelihood of volcanic activity.

The moon actually has an effect on the CERN collider ring. The beams actually get misaligned due to the squashing and stretching due to the Moon.

My son's 18th birthday is tomorrow!! I was going to take him out to eat and see whatever movie he wanted, then go shopping and let him pick his gift, but now, I think I'm gonna just splurge the whole bank account! We'll get him a new car, clothes, whatever he wants! Screw the bank account! Come Tuesday it won't matter!
