I've been reading a thread from 2012 about a grandmother writing about her grandchild disappearing in the forest, and found hours later with a weird story. I can't believe I missed this thread back then. Been reading it for close to an hour now.

After all these years I still find some old golden nuggets.

When I first came to ATS I chose not to lurk or make an intro thread because it was my decision at the time. Now, looking back, holding back and analyzing and identifying certain 'herd' mentalities would have aided me in discerning those with negative personal agendas and I could have happily joined those that are here for positive, intellectual discussion and not wasted so much of my time.
