Okay.

We've been polite twice now.

Quite clear too.

Thread closed for a while - calm the farm, eat a snickers, whatever you need to do to chill it down.

Thread Re-opened

Be aware though that any continuation of the activity that resulted in removals of numerous replies and eventually a temporary closure of thread will be addressed far more firmly from here on...

Thank you for your understanding

OK so where were we? Ahh yes I was waiting for some proof of creationist claims or admission it's a gnosis.

Proof will need to be evidential not scriptures.

Thus far evolution has been illustrated through fossil and genetic evidence. I expect similarly logical evidence in reply, not Jehovah/ Allah did it the end.

In return I will be politely logical in evaluation.

That's funny I thought I was waiting for you to show me something that is not created...

Alternatively proof that educated individuals say the theory of evolution says we evolved from fish or monkey's. Given that was the OP (which had nio discussion points). Either would be grand.

But no intellectually dubious word plays and such. Evidence is gold.

Energy

It cannot be created or destroyed as per the laws of physics.

Your demand has been met. Now it's your turn. Demonstrate something in the universe that has been created by god or a higher power. Please be sure to back up with applicable law or relevant science. Anything at all, that has been verified to have been created by god.

That's what you want to offer?
OK I'll play...

The universe conforms to the first law of thermodynamics dynamics... The first law states that energy can't be created by NATURAL means....
So the Universe as a system of energy can't be created by natural means...
In other words energy did not originate thru NATURAL means... Creation by means other than NATURAL means requires SUPERNATURAL means...
So the existence of energy therefore requires SUPERNATURAL means...
I think GOD can be classified as SUPERNATURAL...

All righy then. How does one measure the gods? What units?

Assuming we accept that energy requires supernatural means...
Assuming we accept God exists
Assuming we accept God is supernatural

...how does that still equate to God did it though?

Not getting at ya at all - just genuinely asking...

In the interests of open-disclosure here: I'm also guessing my own position/perspective might not be too dissimilar to yours.
I have a strong faith/belief...but just conscious that my *faith* doesn't necessary equate to *proof* as such.

(I know I said I wouldn't comment on this thread again, but had to comment on this one)

Deitymeters? Kilomigods? MAllahmeters?

He that is boundless could only be beyond measure...
Unconfined and unrestricted beyond even comprehension...
I guess that's where faith comes in...

Then a quantitative science such as thermodynamics is not a great place to use Gods

I guess that just means it took something beyond the ordinary something extraordinary and that can be your God my God but really it could only be the only God whoever or whatever it was...
Irregardless this would therefore be God by definition as the creator of the universe and thus the God of all...
Ain't none of us not from this universe...
Anyway happy Easter everybody!

Thanks for the wiki

I might pop in every now and then for some humour, but I won't really be on topic anymore.

Decided that the whole "religion vs science" thing is just a waste of time. No one agrees with the other and neither will (normally) change their minds. So I'm going to be actively avoiding said debates from now on.
Makes me happier

Here's is a different more philosophical approach in attempt to further answer you...

Perhaps all energy is the essence of God and his energy flows through all things eternally...
Thus God is everywhere...
Because all things are energy and all things come to pass except thier energy...
God is indeed eternal...

That's pretty much my viewpoint on it too...

Sometimes think when people are arguing about *God* Vs *Science*, *faith* Vs *evidence*, chances are we're spending more time debating our own personalised definitions of what that is.
Rather than sharing and celebrating those intersections of shared commonality, it tends to go towards solidifying upon the points of separation...

Shame really.

Be it *God* be it whatever...would hope we can all agree (at least in principle) that we are all originally came from the same *whatever*...as such are not really so different...

I think the topic of religion is always going to be an argumentative one until proof of god/God existing/not existing is found and 100% certified.

I'd like to apologise for my behaviour aswell.
