Trump also said his core principle is flexibility. Doesn't that mean he has no core principle?

No, it means he's willing to negotiate to find a workable solution.
Something absolutely required, and entirely lacking in the GOP as it is.
That's why things haven't gotten as much better as they could have under Obama - the GOP, like children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (which disorder, if it is not outgrown, becomes known as Conduct Disorder later, and is a personality disorder) - REFUSED to negotiate.

Things ARE better than 2008, but not by much, and that is because of legislators who refuse to be flexible and negotiate. Trump is talking about diplomacy. Not something I expect you know much about, but a critical part of governing.

I'm no fan of his, but at the very least, he knows how to negotiate.

The only way that debate would have been more fun for me to watch is if they would have given each of them a folding chair and locked them all in a cage.

Dammit people - there's more than just Trump & Hillary running...

Yeah...sure it's throwing away a vote UNTIL ENOUGH PEOPLE DO IT.

WAKE UP!!! KILL THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM BY NOT VOTING FOR EITHER OF THEM!!!

I just thought this needed repeating -- thanks for saying it the first time!

I will add: Gary Johnson!!! Jill Stein!!! WRITE-INS!!!

Our options are only limited by ourselves.

Some weird commentary from Newt Gingrich before the debate...

Newt Gingrich speaking about Donald Trump before the Debate: "He's an outsider, he's not them, he's not part of the club, he's uncontrollable, he hasn't been through the initiation rights, he didn't belong to the secret society..."

I saw that interview live and was floored that he said all that. I mean he said what everyone on here has been saying forever, but for him to admit that coming from a true insider.............

I know right, I couldn't believe it when I heard him say that on live TV before a presidential debate.

A few years ago ATS would have blown up at something like this.

What is most disturbing is the matter-of-fact attitude with which he said it, freely admitting that is our political system and there's nothing us common folk can do about it. That's why very few can break that barrier, and Trump is paying the price as they do their damnedest to bring him down. They are going to override the choice of the voting public.

A principle is something you live by. You do not live by flexibility.

A core principle should be bedrock and a guidestone for you, like a compass. If it's flexible it means you magnetic north, if you will, moves all over and you will never find your way straight.

It is one thing to say you value the ability to be flexible, but it should not one of your bedrock core principles.

It's been rolling around out there.

Limbaugh has observed the same, but not in those words exactly.

Yes, it is. And yes, you do. When you were a little girl jumping rope, I got out of college, and moved away to Colorado with a group of others who wanted to get jobs, apartments, etc. The organizers advised us, first and foremost: "Be flexible." So we did, and we got jobs, and apartments, and built lives for ourselves.

A core principle should be bedrock and a guidestone for you, like a compass.

Like what Cruz talks about? I'm sure you're all for that theocrat asshat. Or Rubio? Couple of upstart clowns.

If it's flexible it means you magnetic north, if you will, moves all over and you will never find your way straight.

Bull crap. You have to learn to negotiate.

It is one thing to say you value the ability to be flexible, but it should not one of your bedrock core principles.

My 'bedrock principle' is to do what's right, and to encourage others to do so. At All Times.
Yours, obviously, is not.
Some "Christian." Makes me wonder about your parenting, too.

Agree to disagree, then. End of chat.
You're not worth any further attempt at dialogue.

Limbaugh sucks. Don't listen to him.

You make me sad. You two really, really make me sad.

Just - the lack of critical thinking. Sad.
