We the undersigned, members of the Republican national security community, represent a broad spectrum of opinion on America’s role in the world and what is necessary to keep us safe and prosperous. We have disagreed with one another on many issues, including the Iraq war and intervention in Syria. But we are united in our opposition to a Donald Trump presidency. Recognizing as we do, the conditions in American politics that have contributed to his popularity, we nonetheless are obligated to state our core objections clearly:

...Mr. Trump’s own statements lead us to conclude that as president, he would use the authority of his office to act in ways that make America less safe, and which would diminish our standing in the world. Furthermore, his expansive view of how presidential power should be wielded against his detractors poses a distinct threat to civil liberty in the United States. Therefore, as committed and loyal Republicans, we are unable to support a Party ticket with Mr. Trump at its head. We commit ourselves to working energetically to prevent the election of someone so utterly unfitted to the

The body list 9 points. It's signed by people like Michael Chertoff.

Astoundingly, these GOPers, many who worked for the Bush administration, admonish Trump's take on torture. I agree, it's not good but it's the pot calling the kettle black. And they also criticize his take on foreign policy - as if we didn't support one failed attempt after the other at regime change in Bush 1 and Bush 2.

I guess the economic wing of the GOP will be up next to "disavow" and sound the alarms about Trump.

Don't get me wrong, I tend to agree with all of their observations, it's just amazing to see this all play out and watch the party implode.

When Michael Chertoff, the draconian son of a bitch behind the present efforts to turn America into a gulag at the beck and call of the NSA, tells Americans not to support a politician... well, that says something. It says "VOTE FOR THAT POLITICIAN IMMEDIATELY!!!" This isn't about the US losing standing or becoming "less safe" in any way, it's about the NSA losing powers and the nation becoming safe enough to justifiably tell Chertoff and his band of asshats "get out!"

They are so afraid him; what are they so afraid of? So much more to all this. I hope Trump quadruples his security. He has definitely angered the gods. All of this is very unnerving.

the only one that will be arguable (from Trumps point of view) is

His hateful, anti-Muslim rhetoric undercuts the seriousness of combatting Islamic radicalism by alienating partners in the Islamic world making significant contributions to the effort. Furthermore, it endangers the safety and Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of American Muslims.

Nonetheless, Trump is going nowhere- he is gaining popularity each day. He is practically unstoppable at this point in the juncture..

It's not up to them. It's up to the people who are voting for him. That's how it works. If they think differently, they should be voted off the island themselves because they've obviously got the whole idea of how we are supposed to do things here in the US, wrong.

Apparently he's doing something right that people believe in. I guess they're afraid of him. I would be too. They're starting to look more and more like fugitive crooks by the way Trump talks about todays politics.

Well I guess this tells us Trump's not a neocon.

I really hate to admit it, but the full frontal assault on Trump makes be give him a second look, even though I think he would be an awful President. How's that for political madness? Furthermore, it makes me really wonder about his safety and the chance that something may happen, whether physical or some sort of manufactured scandal. It's bothersome.

They think this hurts him...

This helps him.

These are the A-Holes that everyone hates.

Will the people who have so far pledged their vote to him simply take this on the chin?

I've looked at the other Republican candidates and one likes to cook bacon using an automatic rifle and the other is far too Catholic and no doubt will start telling us God told him to start a war or have relations with an intern.

It will be a Bilderberger in the Whitehouse in the form of Hillary, unfortunately.

Trump 2016

I honestly feel like I might be being manipulated into becoming a full-fledged Trump supporter! As an American, I consider it my solemn duty to do pretty much do the opposite of what Michael "The Devil's Rectum" Chertoff wants. Is it possible that the merry band of America-haters Chertoff and his ilk represent are going against Trump because they WANT us to vote for Trump? Or is it truly as it seems and the Forces Against America are actually afraid that Trump stands in the way of their evil plans? This is getting really weird.

So, Republicans are against torture, opposed to economic warfare (like sanctions), dislike anti-Muslim rhetoric (bomb bomb bomb Iran), are opposed to foreign dictators (Saudi Arabia), and are fundamentally honest.

I don't know what dimension I've been sucked into in the last hour, but I hope I'm rich in this one.

Sounds like a few more well deserved votes to the moderate candidate Hillary Clinton, to me.

I really hope she wins, seems like she's the best option if the cannabis legalization movement is going to keep going forward... plus she would have respect from the international community.

Trump being voted in as president of the United States would just create a very unstable & volatile atmosphere within international politics.

Been a great day for Trump. Some politicians in Mexico City propose a ban on him, the GOP establishment reminded everyone that Mitt Romney is their big ace up the sleeve(lol) and now this. You gotta love these idiots banging their head against the wall helping his numbers along the way.

But do the voters have a say anymore, or only the establishment? I thought we live in a democracy.

If this doesn't work, the next step will be to bump him off...........car accident, plane crash, heart attack, shot by mentally unstable person (establishment brainwashed patsy).... take your pick.

just stop.

Let them elect him. They deserve him. They need to be lied to. Just figure out if you want to be lied to or if you want to tell the lies.

One side makes you a slave and the other makes you the master. Learn from trump. I am.

we should learn from trump and thank him for the revelation. Our people are animals that deserve to be servants. They need hate to function like a car needs gas.

If they should die off in mass ever in the future, remember that they willed such destruction onto others. That they would rip their world apart if their bellies are not full.

Trump is not a bad guy. He is simply not a slave and he is finding his natural way to power. His slaves are lining up. There are much more where that came from. Are you more formidable than Trump? GREAT! He did it, you can too.

We can smile and lie and get rich. If we play ball we can have all these freaking morons suckling at our tit and hanging on our every word.

They are dumb and we are smart. That is the natural order of things. They go to die and secure our holdings, we command them and choose where and when they should die.

Its what they want. Why resist?

Do you think any trump supporters will change their minds? They are still gitty about the WIN WIN WIN. LOL

Its funny. Think about it. You can live like a king and they like pigs and everyone is happy.

Just let them be as they are.

Find your place in the NWO. With the savages or above them. Its a matter of intelligence. Are you a slave like them? Then why worry about them. Its like trying to keep a pig clean.

dont waste your time. Instead, learn to dominate them. Its really easy and they actually prefer it.

I see Romney has come out against Trump, but took his donations in good faith at the last election.

Sorry, for me this election is rigged and it's on par with WWE wrestling. Romney has created a rivalry with Trump and he's probably hoping to cut in just as Trump could be nominated to be the GOP Ticket.

Theatre and everyone's buying into it.

Are these the same military geniuses that went along with Vietnam, Iraq, etc?

I'll trust Trump, even the homeless crackhead on the street corner yelling schizophrenic nonsense, over them.

I say let them all bring it on. The more the RNC, elites, establishment politicians and ABC agencies attack the more separation Trump has between them. More attention to the divide the better. May folks awill at least begin to question why all the fear.
