I often wonder if I'm too dumb for God.

Seriously,
What if God, whomever he may be, is looking for people that are way smarter than the best we have ever offered?
What if the best education, best upbringing, best scientific minds, best honesty, best compassion , the best of the best is not good enough?

All replies welcome.

It is mentionned in the bible that the meek will inherer the earth.

Iknow meek doesnt mean dumb, but some equate being submissive as so.

Thankfully blank sees the long road. Even if we do not always.

Good enough? What ever is? Can you change now? Good enough if it's good.

Don't judge the best of you, use the smaller portion and make it smaller.

Cryptic but bland as is my viewpoint.

He loves you. All he wants is a relationship with you. You are precious to him in every way. Jesus died for every human. You have qualities that others can't do. I always tell kids who are suffering with learning disabilities: supposedly Einstein couldn't even find the way home after work but yet his mind was so far above ours. Look at these people that have a traumatic injury and suddenly they can speak another language, look at the sevants that can play the piano better than someone who has trained all their life. You are loved beyond any human understanding.
And so, there is no "dumb" in God's eyes. It's a human limit/insult we throw around.

If god did in fact exist, and he considered you too dumb for his company, it would make him the biggest twat in history.
He made you right?

(Above based on the IF clause)

Maybe the generally accepted idea of "god" isn't good enough for us?

I can't speak for anyone else but after reading all the madness in the bible, koran and and other major religions. I find this god lacking and not worthy of my time.

Jesus didn't come for the healthy, He came for the sick.

Its those who think themselves better who miss out

And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Those who need Him will find Him

Using God in the "whatever God may be" sense, if a high level of intelligence/discernment/capacity is what God wants, assuming for selection to some next level of advancement or inner circle of sorts, then I would think the rest just go on as they do. Whether that is to an ultimate end, broken down into minerals to eventually become food, fuel, etc., a soul to be recycled or whatever.

We do know that people who "aren't intelligent enough for God", if such a concept were true, do continue to exist (unless God has a really low threshold.)

My thinking is that "God" (the power well beyond those who created humans - just my cosmology there) is all things, from all perspectives, and so the spiritual master, the ruthless billionaire, the "ordinary Joe" (Plumber or otherwise), and the junkie in the street all have unique perspectives and experiences. I think of it as everybody and everything, "good", "evil", complex living organisms, bacteria, inanimate objects, etc. are each lenses through which the "all" can be "seen" (so-to-speak) from its own unique perspective.

Matthew 11:25

25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

That reads like the misconception of a small, ignorant mind. I know an awful lot of highly intelligent Muslims. That's not to say you aren't intelligent yourself - it could very well be that you've simply been extremely limited in your exposure to and experience of the world.

I don't think you can be too dumb for God. The faith of a child is all that is necessary to be reconciled. Christianity is complicated by the traditions of men; just as the Pharisees complicated Judaism. In truth it is a simple matter; which Jesus compares to taking a drink of water.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Once one makes the decision to believe in the finished work of the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit helps one grow in the knowledge of God.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27

God is not a respecter of persons; He requires only that you believe the record He has given of His Son.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 that no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:25-31
