I don't think you can be too dumb for God. The faith of a child is all that is necessary to be reconciled. Christianity is complicated by the
traditions of men; just as the Pharisees complicated Judaism. In truth it is a simple matter; which Jesus compares to taking a drink of water.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians
2:8-9
Once one makes the decision to believe in the finished work of the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit helps one grow in
the knowledge of God.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all
things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27
God is not a respecter of persons; He requires only that you believe the record He has given of His Son.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not
many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the
wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 and base things of the world, and things which are
despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 that no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of
him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 that, according as it is
written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:25-31
