I was reading the fascinating posts at thread454589 pg1 & thread454589 pg2, but unfortunately the original picture is broken. Does anyone have a copy saved they could post again? Or maybe at least a description of it, please?

I've had a look for the image and it looks like the member deleted it from their uploads. It's described, by them, as original artwork so there's probably no way of tracking it down.

Incidentally, I tried a few internet searches on the off-chance that they uploaded it elsewhere or had an interest in art. No joy there either.

that's kind of you as a mod to check on the file. the user did say he previously posted it on another forum, so that's why i too did try searching a bit (and that's how i saw this disc picture posted above)

he's not been around since 2010, but there were a lot of responses in the thread, so i could go through and see who's active who did respond. i could also try messaging Wisen Heimer anyway, maybe he will see it

cheers!

Anything even close to the picture you are seeking?

If you find it please post it here for all to see.

Something I don't understand... I hope someone with some insight into can assist here.

I imagine the Big Bang as a point, but spherical explosion.

So... from that point on, isn't the universe spherically shaped? I mean, the matter isn't just going outwards in a flat(ish) plane is it?

The same question I'd ask about the Milky Way, because everytime I see artist renditions and guestimates based on what we can photograph from Earth, it is always depicted as a flat(ish) construct?
