Knowledge Driven Revolution

The Scientific Outlook
This series examines Bertrand Russell's 1931 book The Scientific Outlook. Bertrand Arthur William
Russell, 3rd Earl Russell (1872-1970) was a renowned British philosopher and mathematician who
was an adamant internationalist and worked extensively on the education of young children. This
included running an experimental school in the 1920's with his second wife Dora Black. He was the
founder of the Pugwash movement which used the spectre of Cold War nuclear annihilation to push
for world government. Among many other prizes, Russell was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature
in 1950 and UNESCO's (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) Kalinga
prize for the popularization of science in 1957.

Part 1 of this series examines science as power-thought and the use of scientific technique to
increase the power of an elite scientific minority over the unscientific masses. Part 2 examines the
composition of the society of experts who will use scientific technique to dominate the masses. At
the forefront of this society of experts is the expert "manipulator", whom Lenin is the archetype.
This society also aims to conceal its power and influence behind political veils like democracy. Part 3
explores the application of scientific technique to education with an emphasis on the distinction
between education for the "governing class" and "working class". Part 4 looks at the use of
education, the Press, radio and Hollywood as forms of propaganda. Part 5 examines the use of
behaviourism, psycho-analysis and physiological manipulation as applied to education. Part 6
examines the application of scientific technique to the reproduction of human beings including the
separate breeding techniques to be applied to the "governing class" compared with the "working
class". This also includes the creation of a "priestly class" within the ruling governing class. Part 7
explores the changes to freedom and equality in the scientific society.

Nazi Eugenics 'Science' comes to mind.

In my day they called it "Behavioral Science" or Psychology. Read the book or at least see the movie, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest to understand how it was used back in my day to control people.

What do they call the Pseudo Science today that big Pharma pushes to drug everyone into compliant Stupification?

Also read Brave New World and watch THX1138.

If Bertrand Russell is considered to be a founding influence on a "New World Order", then sign me up. He was a genius and far ahead of his time.

THX-1138

Ahhh... the memories.

OMM: Let us be thankful we have commerce. Buy more. Buy more now. Buy. And be happy.

OMM: Let us be thankful we have an occupation to fill. Work hard, increase production, prevent accidents and be happy.

IMO it is what our future holds.

I agree about Russell. I think that the problem with this is that the 'masses' did not read his work but the elites did, and they are the ones who have used his, and others' understandings to control the masses. Had the 'masses' read not only his work but that of others then the Powers would not have had such an easy time of it.

Like the whole study of psychology. Had the masses become aware of it, things might have been different. But instead the study of psychology was left to the manipulators who then went on to increase their ability to manipulate. On top of that they also poo-pooed the whole field of psychology, pushing out the message that it was just psycho-babble and meaningless liberal junk science. And so many people bought it and said 'oh, not me, I don't work that way. And the elites said "you are so right, you do not work that way, here, have another carrot".

Have you noticed that with all the gazillions of movies on TV day and night on a bizzilion stations you can basically turn into any of the Men In Black moves anytime of day? And I love MIB. But a movie such as THX1138, or the original Rollerball, or Fahrenheit 451, you cannot find them. And Manchurian Candidate? How often is that one re-run. I went decades not being able to find that one.

But THX, that one is NEVER played. I have not even seen it scheduled on any TV station since like, 1980

I've never really thought of it that way, thank you. It's sort of like how the major religions that were meant for the common folk got co-opted by the rulers.

Put "Movie: THX1138" into Google and see what you get. I just observed four different (pay) choices where it is available.

All good movie, and you're right, they drown us with 'acceptable' movies over and again.

Add Brazil and Metropolis to the never air list.

Can't have our minions putting two and to together now can we.

Personally, this total control of TV , omitting certain movies entirely is how we know they omit the real world events and any unreal events, too. By 'unreal' I mean any paranormal or UFO stuff. Theres this other thread going for pages here about a helium balloon hovering on the street in Turkey, for instance.

Nothing real gets through, the censorship of the web is complete. All whistleblowers, all spirit or alien activity, the truth about the endless wars and conquering the world… pffft…

a reply to: Terminal1

The theme of THX1138 is recognizable now. Back then it was unforeseeable. Logans Run, too. Interesting to note they only allowed these themes as sic fi in weird scenarios. Like Logan's Run for instance, these dystopias only come to screen as future apocalyptic scenarios, the extreme end of the spectrum, it will never happen.

Here we are.

Another good movie they never show is a little gem called Wisdom, with Emilio Estevez. He destroys bank records…

Metropolis most certainly. But Brazil. Now that was one hell of a movie. Unlike THX, I have my own copy of Brazil. The night mare of the cops cutting a hole in the ceiling and jumping through on the whim of a bureaucratic miscue. All that so familiar from today's headlines.
And our hero who can only be a hero in his fantasies, until poof, it all blows away in a cyclonic wisp of air.
And one nearly forgotten scene where the rich old lady who is still trying to be young and beautiful, her sagging face all bandaged over from unsuccessful attempts at plastic surgery, trying like hell to still believe, says, "My complications have had complications"

There was a time in my life that I hoped that movies like these would be revered as portents, as glimpses into futures we did not want to come about. That people would see them and in one manner or another alter the course of their own lives from what they had learned about themselves and society and move in a more positive direction, as has been the case for some of us, but for sure not enough of us because those movies never made it past the 'art' theater crowd.

But then I saw "Network". Big huge cast. Won all the Oscars that year. And what effect did it have on most people. None. Ziltch. Just another story. OMG. The deeper truths about the msm and corporate culture expounded upon by Chayefsky were were spot on. And even in the movie, the 'masses' who had had something inside plucked to attention still were incapable of anything more than being an applauding audience. Just all part of the show. So??? On with the show.

Yes, thankyou Sun.I googled as you suggested and found it. Those avenues though are obscure, unless one is specifically looking for that, or any other movie. There is little chance of anyone just 'happening' across it like there would be if it was played at all on regular movie channels or even cable channels. Little chance of 'accidental enlightenment' for the general public. But then as I mention in my reply to intrptr, most folks would not watch it anyway as it requires an inquiring mindset that I fear most people have not yet developed.

Reminded me of another bit from The Big Lewbowski, "I just stopped in to see way condition my condition was in."
Same stylized dystopian nightmare.

UNESCO Its Purpose and Its Philosophy

As the first Director of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation),
Sir Julian Sorell Huxley (1887-1975) wrote a paper entitled UNESCO Its Purpose and Its Philosophy
(1946) in which he outlines his vision for the newly created international organisation (which grew
out of the League of Nations' Institute of Intellectual Co-operation). According to Huxley, the
guiding philosophy of UNESCO should be what he terms, World Evolutionary Humanism. Part 1 in
this series describes this philosophy and its relation to eugenics. The second article outlines the
purpose of UNESCO, which is to mentally prepare the world for global political unification under a
single world government. Part 3 describes the use of education by UNESCO, as an essential
technique of forming the minds of the young as well as the old. The fouth article examines the
importance of the creative arts and sciences in guiding society towards predetermined goals. The
final part examines UNESCO's use of the mass media and other forms of communication towards
obtaining its goals.

The eugenics thing is untoward, doing away with nationalistic fervor, idealistic.

Good luck with that. The notions of individual peace and freedom have always been sidelined and corrupted by the higher powers that be. This is the world, after all its worldy. The key is to be in it but not of it, not a product of this world.

Good luck with that, too. Especially today. Still possible though on an individual level.

They can take their clubs and organizations, both political and religious and shove it.

Thanks for the rundown, welcome to ATS.

Reshaping the International Order

The Club of Rome is a premiere think tank composed of approximately 100 members including leading scientists, philosophers, political advisors, former politicians and many other influential bureaucrats and technocrats. This series of articles describes the major conclusions of the 1976 book Rio: Reshaping the International Order: A Report to the Club of Rome coordinated by Nobel Laureate Jan Tinbergen. The RIO report "addresses the following question: what new international order should be recommended to the world's statesmen and social groups so as to meet, to the extent practically and realistically possible, the urgent needs of today's population and the probable needs of future generations?"

Part 1 of this series gives an overview of the proposed new international order described by the RIO report as "humanistic socialism". This includes: collective neighbourhood armies, a fully planned world economy, global free trade, public international enterprises, proposed changes in consumption patterns among other topics. Changes to the financial system including international taxation and the creation of a World Treasury, World Central Bank and World Currency are examined in part 2. Part 3 addresses the redefinition of sovereignty from "territorial sovereignty" to "functional sovereignty" as well as the use of the concept of the "common heritage of mankind" to gain international control of not just the oceans, atmosphere and outer space but also all material and non-material resources. Part 4 discusses the generation of public opinion and the use of white coated propagandists. The creation of a World Food Authority and its use for population control is examined in part 5. The final article in this series will examine a wide range of topics including: regional unions, world solidarity, foundations of the international legal system, freedom and the establishment of an standing United Nations military. reply to: intrptr

My heart used to leap at discovering a movie that wasn't main stream enough to matter. I would get this rush when I popped some generic rental tape into a VCR and , as opening credits rolled, I realized I had found a rare gem of modern day intellectual art.

Adding Castle Keep to the list…

Edit: And a shout out to Elysium, trying to understand why they let that one through. I guess it will be marginalized soon enough, it is after all a sic fi movie, not 'real'.

Thank you again for more information, I remember reading about this when I was much younger. All the same think tanks and agendas are still in place, they are still carrying out their ideology. Witnessing what happens to nations that don't go along with their program is scary. The harder they squeeze though, the more people rebel, the more debt and death is piled on to the efforts to promote these agendas.

Look at just Iraq for instance. Since the "first' gulf war to "Iraqi Freedom", various surges, the retaking of Tikrit, conflict of ISIS, various sectarian feuds, car bombs, and whole sale death and destruction, they still can't subjugate this one nation.

Juts this past weekend 10's of thousands of Iraqis breached the Green Zone wall and occupied Parliament, did you see that? It was an amazing groundswell of civil disobedience to show their desire for independence and self determination.

No matter how lofty these wealthy elite ideals are and whatever think tanks they dream up, the ordinary people of the world are growing tired of their BS. A New world order is as quickly meat with a new world revolution on every front.

Another failed empirical attempt to control everyone and everything winding up on the ash heap of history. Thank God, good riddance, ptew…

Enjoying my front row seat on history… wheres the popcorn?
