The Kurds have been the only bright spot in Iraq and in fighting ISIS , actually I think the other way, Iraq, Turkey and Syria should be given an ultimatum, annihilate ISIS in 6 months or the Kurds get even more arms and get their own country. Once the threat is gone the Iraqi Kurds do not want the PKK around but they do want the Turks. And the PKK want their land in Turkey anyway. Just as the Kurds in Iran want their own territory in Iran. And with all the arms floating around in the region you can bet the Kurds in Iran have been building up and the next time Irans security forces decide to smack them around they will likely fight back. For some reason the Kurds get an easy time in the press. And some of them are ok but, they all have problems. Even the most Iraqi Kurds who seem to be on the most up and up have been caught purging villages of non Kurds in areas they liberate from ISIS. Not to mention a Kurdish territory where the Iraqi Kurds have control will have a Turkish bases and troops in it as they are their oldest friends and allies. And that would be a problem for the PKK and Iraq.

Frankly the entire region is a mess and drawing lines on a map and creating new countries by the West is not a solution as it is part of the problem to begin with. The best thing to remember is the region is complex. That their are multiple sides in this conflict, so many in fact I doubt anybody even knows them all. And the the Kurds are not one groups, the do not get along and some of them are indeed terrorists and do things just as bad as anybody else.

As ISIS falls in Iraq we are likely to see the Kurds and the Iraqi Sunnis working together against the Shia backed Iraqi Government. That could very likely lead to fighting and you can bet the Turks will be backing the Kurds while the US tries to figure out what it should do. In Syria after the fall of ISIS the Kurds and the other rebels will move on to Assad as their next target. Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and the others will have to keep on fighting for Assad or not. And ehrn those US backed Kurds are fighting Russia what does the US do?

Yes the last terrorist attack on Ankara Turkey blames YPG and claims they are using US supplied weapon's. However another group took credit the Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (Tak) . They are against Turkey claiming its a dictatorship and want to free Turkey. As far as Kurds they are a widely varied group that contain all religions like sunni shia and christians. Few things to consider ;

Saudis are threatining US & EU & China with withdrawal of 7.5 trillion dollars of funds .

Russians would take Europe over Asia Minor any given day .

Change is going to hit Iran soon after new Mesopotamia borders established.

Why wouldn't 57 sunni nations cooperate to create a union of some sort ?
