Hmmm, still you don't understand. You are saying to me that it is better for me to be ruled by Westminster a place controlled by people I didn't vote for and consider my country to be a minor region of their empire. Rather than be ruled by Brussels, a place controlled by people I didn't vote for and consider my country as just a minor region of their empire.

Whats the difference.

There are people like me who think being ruled by Brussels is preferable to being ruled by Westminster.

Ideally I would like to be ruled by Holyrood.

You really are dense. There is no difference to being ruled by a country 10 times your population or one 100 times your population. In either case Scotland is out voted.

No, you appear to be the one who is dense...do you not understand majority vote?
Scotland would be #ed, and you know it.

The difference is if we stay in EU and everything stated in the video above comes to pass, Scotland would be the same it is now, and England would become like Scotland, controlled by someone else.

I rather like that idea.

See how you like it for a change. LOL

You sound rather childish.
I vote for political reasons which I believe will better my fellow man, nothing else.
Perhaps you 'nat's' could learn something?

Has anyone considered a Scots/English alliance to get us all free from Westminster ?

I did suggest that during our referendum. I suggested that starting with north of England Cumbria and Northumberland should move to become part of Scotland, then continue the process south until there was more people in north sector than south sector. Then we take control of them. I firmly believe that an independent Scotland would benefit England

It might be possible if SNP stood candidates in England

But I DO understand... you are like a naughty cousin of mine LOL!!

for

Hey!! ... you and your Scots compatriots are not the only people on this small

island

There are a lot of people in England and Wales too who didn't vote for this

government we have..... And there were many others who didn't vote for the

previous governments we have had! its called democracy and until

something comes up that is better .... its all we have.

And which ever way you care to look at it its not being dictated to by some one

outside of "family"?

and consider my country to be a minor region of their empire.

Tut, Tut... the chip on your shoulder is showing. Its *OUR* country and

it was *OUR* Empire you Scots were right there by our side. The

hero in the book by William Dalrymple (researched and based on fact)

about the time of the Brits in India "The White Moguls" was a Scotsman.

I know ..... some people are just too stubborn to learn. Personal I think we

are *over* ruled there are too many of them with their noses in the trough.

Brings to mind the saying "Too many cooks spoil the broth" ???

WRONG If you think you look small now wait till you get swallowed

up by the EU.

You will be like a needle in a haystack, if you think you don't have a voice now....

you will be struck dumb!!!!! by the undemocratic EU

The latest from PollStation has the LEAVE vote at 80% after 17500 votes

www.pollstation.uk...

Times poll has the vote at 39% Leave and 39% Remain.

Our own ATS vote is running at approx. 63% Leave.

The times vote don't add up!

Here I'm bringing out something that has been rattling around my brain for some

time. For the last ten years or so the UK Energy bills for the consumer have been

skyrocketing, and the governments of the day have been saying ' they intend to do

something about it?'.... And we're still waiting?....

That thought triggered another....Were our governments impotent? toothless?

Being in the EU obviously wasn't benefitting us on this very important matter? nor

in the recent steel closures where it was disclosed that UK's energy was the highest in

the EU.

The Germans (the name of the other country concerned slips my mind) have

subsidised energy costs and unlike the UK are ALLOWED by the EU to use dirty

power?)

I came across this link....

en.wikipedia.org...(UK)

The *Big Six* supply gas and electricity to over 50 million homes and business's with

over 90% of the market.

Of the *six* only two are UK owned ... of the others #two are German, #one is

French, and the other is #Spanish.

By *supplier* is meant the buying and selling of wholesale power, paying network

and government charges - and charging the customer. The only assets of the

supplier are the offices and people. The business of 4 of the 6 suppliers does not

entail owning or running any actual network assets, underground cables, overhead

lines or pipes to physically deliver.

Confusingly the term *Big Six* has recently been used prominently by the media to

referto Britain's energy networks firms which are independent of the *Big Six*

energy suppliers.

There has also been a tendency to wrongly refer to 'electric network firms' as

'electric suppliers' - thus sowing further confusion and misunderstanding.

(all smoke and mirrors?)

i smell a conspiracy of sorts....are we ALREADY entrenched deeper in the EU

than we think
2/3rds of our utilities are already German, French and Spanish

Here's Nigel Farage speaking in the European Parliament explaining why the EU and it's commissioners are anti-democratic...

Bear in mind this is a couple of years old now.

I posted this in another thread so not sure if you all have seen how the EU is increasing pushing it's claws into our education system.

Here's a bit of the report...

- The EU should be more visible, and better integrated, in teaching materials and extracurricular activities;
- Teachers should be provided with appropriate support and resources in order to enable them to incorporate an EU dimension into their teaching;
- Multi-lingual and intercultural competences of educators should be promoted and encouraged, as well as mobility opportunities, peer-to-peer learning and exchanges of best practices among teaching staff, for instance through the organisation of European-level seminars

Err, not quite.

At present you are a part of The United Kingdom and as such that affords you a certain amount of protection from the whims and excesses of the EU.
Stripped of that protection you will be viewed as a complete irrelevance in the EU's overall grand scheme of things.
And you will have absolutely nothing whatsoever to barter with, zero bargaining power.

.....and England would become like Scotland, controlled by someone else.

Well that's sort of the point, we are already controlled by someone else - Brussels.

Surely you realise that the vast majority of the UK is governed by a party they didn't vote for and didn't want.
The fault lies with our electoral and parliamentary processes not with the people, a fact many Nats seem to really struggle with.

The best chance we have of changing that is by sticking together and uniting against those who control Westminster.
But that's a conversation for another day.

I rather like that idea.

See how you like it for a change. LOL

Ok, now we see the true measure of the man.
LOL indeed.

It might be possible if SNP stood candidates in England

Not advisable.

As a general rule if thumb we in N.E. England get on very well with our northern neighbours and have much in common with them.
But Sturgeon et al are pretty much seriously disliked by everyone, much like their counterparts in Westminster, especially by the many Scots who choose to live here.

WHAT A HYPOCRITE

Is this really the calibre of the of the *Stay In* lobbyists

Jeremy Corbyn has just been on the news extolling the virtues of the UK

staying within the EU.

Remember this is the man who was gagged to appease the Blairites for saying

What powers do we have to do anything about the fraud and corruption

in the EU institutions, where money finds its way into the hands of the 'Mafia'

or into grandiose construction projects that are of no value to anyone.

The very same man who in 1975 voted against membership of the EU

The very same man who in 1993 voted against the Maastricht Treaty

The very same man who in 2008 voted against the Lisbon Treaty

He surely has NO creditability left what so ever

With the calibre of people behind the *Stay In* lobby .... How can anyone vote

to tay in
