Preach it sister!!

I get horribly annoyed with the extreme fascist controlling mentality of so-called "feminists" who take it to the level of the ridiculous with pseudo intellectual arguments and spit-flying rage!!!

Rape is an act of sexual violence with specific parameters, it is not a tampon. Men can be and are raped. Duh. Men can be sexually harassed by women - I've seen it happen in the workplace and it made me sick.

When people on the fringes start up with cult-like intensity, calling women misogynists because they are not following the cults strict rules, well, it is both a giant eye-roll and a serious distraction from the core issues of equality/social justice for both women and men.

This is "tribe creation" - a way that these angry women with extreme views, controlling and vitriolic natures, or at least manipulative natures, want to solidify themselves with their "peer group" and attempt "social change" as their mission.

They are no different than any group out there doing the same thing, like the scary preachers with the loud-speakers on the corner that make all the other Christians uncomfortable.

Grow up, ladies.

There are those on "the right" in the media who have done a bang-up job of mocking ANYTHING remotely 'feminist.' I blame this, as well, and not just the extremes of feminist thought.

I feel like they are almost embarrassing those feminists who really did fight for things like the right to vote.
I mean I would call myself a humanist instead of a feminist. But that also sounds ridiculous

What's your take on jobs where women get a free pass on requirements men have to complete .. like firefighters?

Here is an article that addresses women as firefighters - from a woman firefighter's perspective. She talks about that very issue...
Link

Lastly, there are the handful of women who make all of us have to give ten times the effort, the ones who cry every time they get yelled at or can’t complete a task, complain about having to do labor, and depend on the men in their group to pull extra weight when they get tired. Most that I have seen get a job because daddy is high in rank. This is what everyone seems to remember about the fairer sex in the workplace.

One thing I wish most men would remember about women that don’t belong in the fire service is this: For every handful of women who probably shouldn’t be in the field, there are a handful of men who don’t belong as well. It’s always more noticeable when a woman can’t pull her own weight because there is a smaller number of us, so everyone is always looking and always critiquing. But who has been looking at the percentage of men who are grotesquely overweight who will only run or hike if their lives depend on it? Or the ones who depend solely on their job for means of physical fitness? Regardless of this fact, however, I think women will always get the shorter end of the stick. If you can accept that, there are a few things that I have found to help with overcoming the challenges of any predominantly male industry: your state of mind and your physical fitness.

It's a shame, because it diminishes legitimate issues women still face in modern society.

On the the other end of the spectrum, we have extremist MGTOW(men going their own way), which seems to be doing their best to embarrass men, by saying things about women that would make a misogynist blush.

Some people aren't happy unless they're hating.

I miss chivalry. In fact Im not sure a lot of it was ever around once I was born.
I do understand why they say 'chivalry is dead. and women killed it'

Twenty one years of my working life was being a female in an all male sales

force. It was acknowledged that I would not have been entertained if I had

applied for the position but I was inherited in a take over.

There was never any concessions made for me being a female and I had to

hold my own.

There was a time when a GSM congratulated me on holding my own, and

said he thought it was a more difficult job for me than the men, who

invariably have the help at home (cooking cleaning laundering shopping etc.)

where as I was doing both jobs.

At meetings etc. chivalry and manners were very much alive, and I was

aware that when I was around they did watch their language more than they

would have done had I not been there.

Equality shouldn't be the death knell for 'good manners' and 'consideration'

After all isn't it *manners that maketh the man*

As a woman, I completely get what you're saying.

The "free bleeders" are like this lady who made sourdough using her own vaginal yeast. Talk about YUCK. It would be like some guy making something using dick cheese.

I sometimes think of it as an extreme form of self/goddess worship, and it's not for me because at that point it has gone beyond simple equality into something else entirely.

I was bought up quite traditionally in some respects, and in others not so much. But things like holding doors open, allowing others to pass through a door before oneself, and all that are automatic traits for me.

For example, at the bar last night I was out in the beer garden, having a smoke, and realised that a lady sitting at the same table as myself and my friends, was very uncomfortable on the bench seat, something about it had aggravated her skin. I offered my rolled up trench coat to sit on, not because I was after something from her, but because it is the gentlemanly thing to do. Luckily she was an old fashioned sort of lady, and took the coat with grace, sitting upon it for the duration of her smoking her cigarette. I have received some utterly vile responses to other expressions of my upbringing though.

The thing about feminism which, at its bonkers end has always concerned me greatly, is that there is only one logical conclusion that the path they are on leads to, and that is everyone being terribly afraid to do anything, for anyone, for any reason, in case their intentions are misunderstood with horrid consequences. Meanwhile, the sort of men who would never dream of imposing on a woman or being in any way inappropriate, will either be forced to unlearn their correct behaviour, or simply die off, leading to a less genteel society all around.

It's also troubling because it's a very selfish worldview. What kind of person thinks that someone only is doing something for you because they want something from you? It's like a perversion of the Golden Rule in a way. I smile and say thank you and hold doors all the time, not because I want anything from anyone but because I know it makes your day just that little bit smoother.

In this darker extreme feminist version, it's always and ever about a transaction you may not want to make - they only and ever want sex from you, and that's a both an extremely inflated opinion of yourself (not all men want to do you no matter how attractive you want to think you are) and an extremely low opinion of men and their ability to control their own urges and drives (they aren't animals no matter how much you want to reduce them to that).

But maybe I get that being a woman who naturally prefers the company of men, and not as sexual partners, just as friends. I find them just plain easier and more fun to get along with.

There is definitely selfishness and narrowmindedness involved, oddly, traits which hyper feminists cite repeatedly as reasons to be mistrustful of anyone who happens to have different trouser equipment than themselves.

I honestly have no idea how continuing down the path of extreme feminism can avail these individuals of anything positive in life.

We should be proud of gender roles. They're very sacred. Motherhood, though often taken for granted, is the most exalted and precious among them. It is probably the exact reason we have become civilized as a species.

Feminists would get along just fine if it wasn't for their piss-poor manners, insincerity, and their asinine ideas. Have you ever had to sit through a feminist performance piece? Good god.

Extreme feminism will fail because it takes a real man to do a proper job anyways.

humanism all the way. genders are complementary, not hierarchical, and victimhood does not give you the right to make more victims.

hardcore feminism is mostly fringe anyway, like those westboro folks. the loudest are often the oddest.
