news.yahoo.com...

In an interesting development the Sunni tribesmen in the City of Fallujah have revolted against Islamic state.....
Informaiion is limited, but resentment has been growing there against Daesh.....ISIS, for a while....
The tribesmen are calling out for outside assistance and warning of a mass slaughter if none arrives to support their action....
This may be a little premature for the Iraqi military to do more than token support....
I hope for the Sunni rebels sake there is help on the way....
It would be a great blow to ISIS everywhere if the yoke was thrown off by the people they have conquered in Fallujah....
Seeking further sources now....ill be beack....

Sunni tribesmen have attacked Islamic State militants in the Iraqi city of Fallujah, the Iraqi military and local officials said Friday, overrunning and burning one of their headquarters as resentment against the group grows. After the unrest in two neighborhoods, Issa al-Issawi, the mayor in exile of the city 45 miles west of Baghdad, warned that there would be “mass slaughter” unless the tribesmen received assistance

Question. Why isn't tis in the Terrorism/Middle Eastern section. It is interesting, but not even close to being the trigger to the Third World War. Just curious of your thoughts.

No surprise the writing is on the wall. No secret ISIS is on its last legs in particular In Iraq. ISIS is going face more and more internal troubles. In particular since they are out of money.

I think you are right....
I also think the more factions and sides are scrapping over there, the better the chances of starting something that quickly escalates into bigger stuff.....
As in what will the Sunnis want after victory...hypothetical of course....

What are the chances of you not derailing a thread to attack the US? We get it you hate the US however this thread is not about that.

Focus.

On topic any assistance should be provided. There is 150k troops training in N. Saudi Arabia. Use them.

What are the chances of you ever posting the truth instead of using the KGB tactics of distraction, distortion and denial to attack other members?

Since Obama is so fond of arming moderate rebels, where is his assistance now I ask you?

Another personal attack while derailing the thread with nothing related to the discussion - focus.

There are 150k troops in N. Saudi Arabia holding war games. Allow them to support the revolt against isis if Iraqi forces cant get their in time.

Simple.

Those Saudi troops want nothing more than to snatch Assad from power. They aren't really concerned about ISIS, they're just inching towards Shi'ite countries in an attempt to destabalise any Shi'ite resistance against Sunni rule. Similar to Turkey.

The end game is Iran. Thankfully Russia was wise to this, not only in defending their own military bases - but wise enough to realise that the USA was playing both sides. Wise enough to challenge Turkey and wise enough to allow Assad to begin restoration of Syria.

Unfortunately due to the meddling of Arab states, the USA etc - It looks like Syria will take a LONG time to heal.

Indeed - Don't forget Assad is an Alawite - He may be a dictator, but he ensured diversity underneath his regime. He allowed Shi'ites, Sunnis, Christians and Alawites to live in relative Sectarian peace.

If the USA, Turkey and the Saudi's have their way - Syria would be destabalised and would become just another victim of Neo-conservative / Sunni idealism. Much in the same way the fall of Gadaffi turned Libya into a hell hole.

Not at all.. I do it in threads dealing specifically with Russia.

Can we talk about ISIS, the revolt and the options instead of derailing the thread?

Why cant the 150k troops be used if Iraqi forces cant get to them? I ask because a revolt against ISIS, where they lose, could be another turning point.

The stated goal was to use them against ISIS. Why cant they be used?

Probably because Saudi Arabia is the father of ISIS

Those troops are just there for show, to assist in the agenda of Regime change and to stop the conflict from spilling back into Saudi Arabia itself
