The school has instructed students and facutly to shelter in place, Tweeting, “Hostile armed person reported in Pierpont Hall. UMPD on scene and perimeter secured. Please shelter in place.” … “Suspect is a white male wearing dark colored shirt and gold chain. Reports of 2nd involved party, white male wearing gray sweatshirt.” … “One or two hostile armed persons are reported in Pierpont Hall. UMPD is on the scene and has secured a perimeter. Shelter in place for now.”

Seriously.....again? What is it with Guns and Universities?
I hope no one is injured and they capture these cretins asap.

Considering that everyone is on edge with mass shootings I'd wait for confirmation on this report.

Confirmation of this is on the UMass website that I posted above. Whether it turns ugly is another thing though. Hopefully not.

And people wonder why I want to leave the States before the proverbial Rome catches fire.

P'ease stay safe people.

Supposedly in one of the towers in the "southwest" part of the school, someone tried to rob someone for drugs and pulled a gun. Students should be alright and it should be isolated.

Two white males huh, I wonder if that will end up changing.....

In my perspective this is another installment of mass trauma-based mind control. How to traumatize a generation of young people so they are easier to program.

I live a town away from UMASS Amherst. Seems that the issue has been resolved.

Exactly why I carry on campus

Stop going crazy and jumping to conclusions every one. It was an isolated incident that just so happened to happen in a highly populated college area. Nothing will come of this it was minor, but good to see just in case, seems like they had a good protocol.
