maybe by mistake because they didnt know it was a hospital .
Why would the US bomb a hospital treating its allies?
That story change a few times until they were finally were backed into a corner where they had to . First it was a gun fight with terrorist and their guys on the ground .Then it was they didn't know it was a hospital . Then it was confusion in the chain of command . I got sick of their excuses and moved on because I figured at the worst they would throw someone under the bus if they really needed to .
Then why didn't they admit their mistake like they did in Afghanistan?
That story change a few times until they were finally were backed into a corner where they had to .
“They assumed the full consequences of their act, because they did not consult with the Syrian government...”
Bashar al-Jaafari, Syria’s U.N. envoy, called MSF a “branch of the French intelligence operating in Syria.”
...they did not operate with Syrian government permission,” he said, accusing the U.S.-led coalition of carrying out Monday’s strike.

I don't know about you but I could easily imagine the USA bombing hospitals. Was it them this time? Perhaps not, but it's not impossible like your question at the end suggests.
The US admits that it accidentally bombed an MSF hospital in Afghanistan, so why should they not admit to these?
