This is a rant about the grammies. We lost David Bowie this year, Lady Gaga did a phenomenal tribute to him at the grannies, the lame stream media as usual ignored this point. WTF?

are you wanting logic from a show about nothing really? it's the same as all other accolades shows. pointless. Taylor swift gonna win everything for a long time. Who cares? real music is somewhat a rarity now.

I saw it on the news several times.

The goddamn spider crawling on her face bugged me the hell out though.

It's your rant, but really, who cares about Lady Gaga or David Bowie? There's no particular reason the media should waste time on either.

They all covered it here. On all the news media outlets (mainstream MSM). And the B.B. KIng tribute with Bonnie Raitt.

And the Eagles surprise tribute appearance with Jackson Browne singing Glenn Frye's written/Eagles 1st hit "Take it Easy".

And the tribute to Maurice White/Earth Wind and Fire accapella with Stevie Wonder.

GaGa did an awesome job. Were we watching the same show? It all got huge media coverage.

David Bowie's Son Didn't Like Lady Gaga's Grammys Tribute to His Father
and neither did I....not a fan of hers, although she does have a voice.

Not really a tribute...IMHO....not really worth seeing.

I couldn't agree more...
For such a high profile show and with unlimited musicians who WANTED to take part in a Bowie tribute, they turn it into a Lady Gaga number. The Grammys have meant very little for years now, much like the Academy Awards, but to snub EVERYONE who wanted to honor one of the most influential artists in rock history is an insult.
I refuse to watch it.

I love lady gaga! I think she's great. Sad about Bowie.

I been meaning to write about my conspiracy take on The Labyrinth, just haven't had the time or focus yet. Soon though.

Good move....it is not the same quality as the originals, even on a bad day.

In the UK the term " Gaga " implies someone is going senile.

Very apt.

The Grammys are still a thing? I don't mean for artists, of course it is for them, but people still watch it?

I haven't seen it since I was a teenager (that was the 90's) so I can't tell you if Gaga nailed it or not. Knowing her, it's an "appropriateness coin toss" depending on how she presented herself along with the words.

The whole idea of a Bowie tribute being handled by only one artist is scandalous in the least.

It's like the music industry people took the words from Blackstar to heart...but instead of somebody taking Bowie's place, we're having her shoved down our throats.
