Attention, blue-state parents. Are you worried about what your children are seeing on TV? Have you caught them ogling Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity as they engage in explicit acts of love with Bush administration policies?
Now you can protect your little liberals from hard-core right-wing positions the same way you censor cable porn. For just $8.95, The FOXBlocker eliminates the risk of exposure to Fox News Channel.

How to Fox-proof your cable box

This was simply hilarious when I read it.

For all you FOX News haters out there, yes, you too can own and make your cable Fox-proof. LMAO.

And they say that the truth will set you free....
I doubt it.

This is hilarious. Now if they only made one to block the news from CBS, CNN, BBC, CBC, and NWI I'd really be happy.

Interesting how it's the liberals that always seem to come up with ways to suppress the views of those that disagree with them.

We also saw this recently during the election when Kerry's goons were out threatening book publishers and bookstores regarding the swift boat book.

And isn't it interesting that it's the liberals that are always complaining about losing their rights.

I believe that is a perfect example of hypocracy.

Liberals this, liberals that.. Conservatives this, conservatives that....

Blah blah blah. I'm sick and tired of this labeling nonsense. When will the day come that the words "liberal" " or "conservative" doesn't get mentioned on this part of the website?? Click on the politics tab on top before making such a post please...

He's right, the labels are ridiculous and by using them, you're only perpetuating the divide in this country, not strengthening your party's case. By throwing a label on something, you're pre-judging it, which history has proven to be a phenomonal waste of time and thought.

Okay, so there's an ad for this thing, yeah, I think the idea is kind of ridiculous, but I hear more complaining about a "liberal-media" than I do about one channel. So just because, there's an add for this, doesn't mean every "liberal" or "democrat" or whatever just bought a Fox-blocking box.

The news networks have nothing to do with the truth seekerof, not one thing. Not even the almighty Fox is "fair and balanced" or straightforward. I know that all major news networks in the U.S. are corrupt and biased, but Fox just happens to have the most information, regarding it's corruption, political ties and biased reporting, exposed. If you watch Outfoxed and still claim to be a Fox fan because of it's "fair and balanced" reporting, please start a thread on why and u2u me.

See this thread for more on why Fox (and others) aren't reliable or trustworthy:

I hate Fox news

I'm not normally so technically anal but an oppurtunist trying to play off the political phobias of people does not qualify as an act of hypocrisy, even when you factor in a couple of other generalities. Hypocrisy is more of an individual attribute and is rampant among all genres.

I tend to agree with The Bandit in that labels are stifling. I see more examples of squabbling than I do cooperation and I get the feeling that politics are really designed to get people divided. Just one big distraction. Anyone remember the last time a politician said anything that didn't include pacifist, vague terms such as hope, good, evil-doers, etc. I spend more time reacting to the ideology of a speech than ingesting any thing substantial. Could be just me, but it doesn't matter what the label, they all make me feel icky.

The liberals haven't got a sense of humor that's all!

The conservatives of this nation wouldn't dare and try to suppress the views of liberals because we find them amusingly entertaining!

Take Michael Moore for instance. He's the biggest (and I mean BIG) joke to come out of Hollywood since Robert Downey Jr.!

hmmm.

How about you simply ignore it if you dislike it so much.
Better yet. Let's all just stop watching television, particularly television news programs of all sorts.

Gonna go out on a limb and step outside the box today on this one. Nice find, Seekerof, I was quite amused! Rather than take humor and add reality to it and analyze it, I figured I'd counter with my own link:

Here here Bandit, well said. Im not politically minded and I dont undertand what these terms refer to but im smart enough to know they are intended to be derogatory. Calling a complete stranger a liberal or conservative etc is plain ignorant assumption.

Yea, I just came across another article:

staging.host... ed.ap.org/dynamic/stories/T/TV_FOX_BLOCKER?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2005-03-25-15-36-44

This is the quote I like:

he Tulsa, Okla., resident also has received thousands of e-mails, both angry and complimentary - as well as a few death threats.

"Apparently the making of terroristic threats against those who don't share your views is a high art form among a certain core audience," said Kimery, 45.

Okay, that was a funny joke Seekerof, it really was.

The fact that some people actually took this invention seriously is even funnier.

Most modern televisions come with parental guidance channel block capability. You can also call your cable company and request that certain channels be blocked. I shouldn't be saying this, I know I shouldn't be saying this, what I should be saying is "It's a crime to let a fool keep their money."

So this invention is either a clever way to fleece the rubes, or a very funny joke incorporating the principle theme of capitalism, which is to make money.

I wonder how many will be sold?

Nah, screw them, they have some competition on their hands now, I'm good and riled up -
For only 4.95 USD I will permanently block whatever channels you request, just call my soon to be established toll free numbers and give me your zip code, cable service provider, and a list of offensive channels you wish removed from your viewing domain. I will personally see to it that you are satisfied and all offending channels are removed. To reinstate cable service, a nominal fee of 3.95 USD will be applied. Call now!

Republicans are just mad they didn't come up with this. Although, what do repuiblicans come up with? They are conservative, if it was up to them we'd still be in the 1830's....... While dems would have us in the 2030's...... You see, there is something called conservative thinking, which is an oxymoron, for the conservative(not republican, but conservative) agenda is to take us back to the past, when things were simple, women/blacjks/jews/gays knew their places, while the liberal(not always dem.) agenda is to come up with new ideas, new things, new inventions, advance forward because you can't find the brakes.... may not always be a good idea though. If you say, had the machine gun when the church controlled Europe, you could say bye bye jews/islam/anyone else not being "blessed" by the church, causing the dark ages to continue forever, no advancement, no new ideas, no round earth, no not center, nothing but what the church deems right. But say the church(conservative extreme) hadn't been in control, and the liberals had, then Black Death would have been like it was in China, about 7-10 percent of the population, not 35-45 percent for we would have had medicine, bathing, cats, so forth like in China.

Anyways, now just need something to block channel 6, and 78, and 81, all three are "GIVE ME MONEY OR YOU GO TO HELLLLLLLLL!!!!!" channels, I mean christian channels....(loved The Evils of Harry Potter, and for only 80 dollars could of bought my own copy!)

You seem to always seem to bring racism into every debate. Its just uncalled for.

If you look at 20 and younger racism has disappeared. My white kids play and date other kids of every skin color. They don't even notice the differences.

Drop the racism!

PS When you label conservatives as racist, you my friend are practicing racism!
