That has been my running hypothesis...especially concerning the anonymous 35 (33?) members of this 'private' gathering.
I would also assume that Scalia's doctor, Monahan is a high-ranking S.R. Freemason, as well.

While also connected to the Freemasons, the 'Elks' are pedestrian and probably NOT the specific secret society we're dealing with here...but I believe Poindexter is a high official member due to his family history and position.

The stag with a cross between the antlers is a symbol of Hubert-The Patron Saint of Hunters. (Personally, I think what is between the antlers on that tie could very well be a cross, although a star was my initial thought.)

I've spent a few years now researching secret societies...trying to deduce what umbrella the global elite fall under. What I have come to conclude is there is no single umbrella. Instead, I have concluded that there is a network of people belonging to various 'groups' and having a political flavor that is best described as Fabian Socialism.

Poindexter is a wealthy man. His company, alone, is worth approx. $750M.
One possibility is that this hunting party had something to do with the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.
I'm with you...protecting the names of these 'guests'...seems to be paramount. I have yet to hear from any of them commenting in the press.
