What you are doing should be against the rules, because you are implying that people on ATS are stupid so you give us this kind of bs excuses. It's insane what you are trying to do.

NATO changing it's stance towards Russia? What a disgusting lie.

Yep, you definitely think we're stupid.

American bases and the absurd desire for American/nuclear arms and further deployment of troops. With this I have Poland in mind who has no reason for fear. Frankly I'm boggled by the political state of the forums. I'll refrain from further replies due to not understanding the purpose of political debates by a conspiracy centered site that should not be arguing democrats versus republicans based on the nature of the site. Or to the very least to me it makes little sense.

Isn't it weird, indeed?

Some people claim they are on this site to debunk government conspiracies, but yet all they do is advocate and push government actions and their false excuses aka lies as the truth?

Mind boggling right?

That's why I'm confused. Exactly. You have caught my exact thinking. But let's not derail, eventually I'll getting so annoyed/confused I'll rant about it. Or someone else will and I'll join in.

It's funny how half of participants spout Russian pro-Putin propaganda and paranoia.
Ukrainian riots that deposed Russian (maffioso) government - was a US coup? People who say this speak no Ukrainian and neglect the last few hundred years of Eastern European history.

Syria: the government tortured to death far far more people already before the cruelest suppression of any revolution of history than the Daesh ever did. Only, Russia supports Assad because it extends to them Tartus, the sole Russian warm seaport.

The Baltics have a very justified fear of the newly resurging Putinesque nightmare. Putin uses exactly the same tactics as Hitler did in the 30's claiming territories of smaller nations that had a German-speaking minority... one by one.

There never was any international agreement about NATO stopping a huge country away from Russia's borders. That is a lie by Lavrov. Former Soviet Secretary Gorbachev should know as he was a player in those times.

However, there was an agreement (the Memorandum of Budapest) between Russia and Ukraine that Ukraine gives up all its nuclear warheads (which it did) in exchange for a guaranteed territorial integrity (which the new Russia clearly and unilaterally violated and has no intention to backtrack).

Not really although some of you leave me straining for synonyms.

I do think Putin is stupid since its his actions that are causing the very NATO response he bitches about.

You mean the alliance designed to counter the Soviet Union? The alliance that invited Russia to the table? The alliance that has tried time and again to include and work with Russia only to have Putin open his mouth and confirm his stupidity?

I am not sure whats worse.. Putin's stupidity or the people on this site who are incapable of acknowledging it.

Quite frankly, the whole Putin-situation reminds me of the times before WW2. I am not anti-Russian, and Russian dissent contributes to my opinion over the years. E.g. famous Russian author and computer game designer Dmitry Glukhovsky (of Metro 33 fame) is one of them.

I seriously doubt Trump will ever become President so who he hates or will be friends with matters not.

Putin has been in power for 16 years I've seen no hostile act against the UK in that time that would warrant him or Russia being designated an enemy.

you have any proof of that? where was the strong arming?

I guess reading the article I posted isn't your thing?

im sure the phone call they intercepted of nuland talking about what they would do once yanukovich was gone had nothing to do with it..... bahahahah. god your arguments suck.

Except that happened long after the meeting that happened in Sept. of 2013, but it's fun watching that be used as though it had bearing on Ukraine's protest about their lying president.

My argument sucks because you know it's true and you just can't handle the truth, so hey let's blame the US.

I have to ask who sent troops into Ukraine...it wasn't the US.

ohh and lets not forget oleg tsarov detailing exactly what was going to happen before ukranian congress the december before. you want me to post that video again?

You can, but it has been shown that video wasn't a year before.

except for crimea..... and the entire eastern region..... who still have yet to have their voices heard and have been having to protect them selves through means of violence. but yeah lets ignore that.

The violence that Russia is behind, in case you forgot Ukraine was not having problems in those areas until Russia sent in those to start it.

And it's funny that 70% of those in the East want to stay as one country...

A broad majority of Ukrainians say their country should remain a unified state (77%). Fewer than two-in-ten (14%) believe that regions that want to leave should be allowed to secede.

Support for maintaining Ukraine’s borders is especially widespread in the country’s west (93%). A majority of east Ukraine also wants to be one country (70%), including nearly six-in-ten Russian-only speakers (58%). Still, a significant minority of Russian-only speakers in the east support allowing regions to secede (27%).

www.pewglobal.org...

But of course you know more than those who actually live there.

The same alliance Russia had their own minister for and had his own office at NATO.

Then you are blind.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Really ? , yet it is us who are stationing troops and equipment on their border.

Nice quote although we have spoken out against Russia's actions , I have spoken out against Russia's actions here on this site , do you propose going to war with Russia would solve the problem ?

I'm not defending the aggressive actions of Russia just as I didn't defend the aggressive actions of the UK and US , seems to me when we go around the world imposing our will that's OK but when someone else does it a different set of rules apply.

No people on earth can be held, as a people, to be an enemy, for all humanity shares the common hunger for peace and fellowship and justice.

Ye I'll build up an anti Xcathdra alliance and then invite you. Then I'll call you stupid when you'll refuse and then I'll coerce most other people into it by bribing their politicians.
And since we're at it, can you link something about this invite into NATO that isn't some pathetic newsliar from your administration? Or is this the usual bs you claim and never reply to?

And they are threatening and have sent troops across their border. Any wonder we are going there? It's in response to Russian aggression.

I propose that Russia IS threatening others. And sitting back because you are not a nation they have invaded yet is ludicrous.
