A Black Lives Matter activist killed himself on the steps of the Ohio Statehouse, authorities said.

“My demons won today. I'm sorry,” the activist, who attended the NAACP Image Awards last Friday, posted on his Facebook page around 3 p.m., just hours before his body was found near the Statehouse.

His last tweet read: “Let the record show that I pissed on the state house before I left.”

Black Lives Matter activist MarShawn McCarrel kills self

BLM, demons, and defecation on public property, a cocktail for a misguided soul that ended in suicide.

His involvement in BLM obviously brought him no fulfillment nor purpose enough to make life matter, his own life, a sad tragedy in hateful militancy that disguises itself in terms like activism and protest.

Condolences to his family, too bad he didn't get proper help instead of getting sucked into a group like BLM leading him on a path of self destruction.

So did his life matter?
I guess not, not even to his self... what a shame.

Poor kid

Sadly, he will only add to the black on black murder statistics.
Or will they call it what it is, suicide?

My condolences go out to his family and his friends.

It seems ironic to be involved in a group like Black Lives Matter only to decide that his own life was not worth keeping.

So...BLM is responsible for his suicide?

Man, that's dark.

Probably he was just a very troubled person, and it probably had little to do with BLM.

Wow! 3 posts in...and all 3 show so much insensitivity....so much callousness...so much feigned patronizing.

Someone died here, folks. Let's keep our focus on the reason for that (a.k.a. mental health issues) and not on partisan politics (a.k.a. BLM).

The outlook of the human race looks more and more bleak by the day. SMH

I suspect many BLM activist have many demons. No doubt there are many who participate who earnestly believe in the cause, but my own experience tells me many (particularly the most vocal in leadership positions) tend to have other issues and their participation in BLM and other organizations is a way of coping.

Suicide is never the answer.

You are probably correct on your first point, definitely right on the last one.

This is horrible. The fact his parents will need to bury a child is something that no one should have to do. That said, the sadder part is that he bought into the narrative so much that he thought, with his martyrdom, he would make it greater than it is. This is where an ideology should be blamed and his was the belief in the BLM...or simply misguided about race from his youth and left it behind to eventually take his own life.

Any suicide (except for child molesters) is not fair to anyone...

His last act on earth was pissing on steps of a government building, one could definitely say something was all consuming his thoughts, the same something BLM rhetoric adheres to.

No martyr, just a Darwin Award.

What should bother everyone is that he founded a youth mentorship program. On the surface that sounds noble, but what was he mentoring and teaching youth, was it hate?

I've often wondered about what is going on in people's minds... I've known a few people who committed suicide.

1) One was a high school student who got caught shoplifting. His parents threatened to take him out of karate (which was his passion) so he hanged himself. Left note saying "you can't take it away from me now"

2) Another was a thug I knew who blew his brains out playing Russian roulette.

3) A family friend who got caught doing some financial dirt at work.

4) A friend from college who pretty much was on top of the world in music industry (as in producing and signing some of the most successful acts out today).

So... Was it a legally obtained firearm?

And when will the chorus of "psychological background checks" for BLM members who are purchasing and/or have firearms start?

Asking for a friend.

Yes. Racism is not in a person when they are born. It is garnered from what they see. 98% of the time it is the family but sometimes it is outside influence. Friend...distant cousin...TV...music....

Fact is this kid was given a bill of goods. My children are color blind. That is how I was raised. There are bad and poor people in every ethnicity just like there are good people. You can also never judge a book by its cover. However, based on the MSM it is easy to think every black youth in a hoodie is a thug and every white youth who like rock worships the devil. Why not. Many times people are only exposed to certain things. Open a child's mind and there is no racism.

and sometimes....people a just screwed up in the head.....

Damn... well said, OP.
_____

I'm sure he had many deep-seeded problems.

Of course it's sad, but regardless of everything else,
- he chose to end his life in the name of BLM.

No offense but it seems counter intuitive.
what a senseless thing to die for.

And which of those was he directly involved with? Or should all gun owners also face the death penalty when one of them goes on a shooting spree? Should all muslims be treated like members of ISIS? I'm sure you don't think every upper-class white male is a tax dodging money-grubbing sociopath.

So why is this one man the same as every other one in a movement full of both rational and completely insane people?

Their lives suck as much as my life and everyone else's. What makes him different is he is a coward. No ones life matters any more or any less then one anothers, BLMs purpose is to divide people farther.
