I went back and looked at this thread I started in 2016 and it made me even more confident in my original assertion that a president is really little more than the front man, paid to deliver a message, while those who really make the decisions work from the shadows.

I thought this was common knowledge. There is no difference between a President and Santa clause. The elves/ shadow people make the real decisions in government.

Well, it certainly has become more commonly known among more and more people...but it hasn't always been that way.
