Burns Oregon--We need a plan

This guy is totally on point, well spoken and intelligent. I think this should be seen, sorry to anyone if this was buried in some thread somewhere but I believe it's worthy of its own thread, I searched and nothing came up.

2. Finicun could have stopped. Instead, he ran it--rather inexpertly.
3. The video wasn't "leaked;" It was intentionally released.

This guy doesn't have anything to say that hasn't already been said. It's the same old same old.

Here's a pretty good synopsis of the situation up in Oregon. I'm not going to waste my time typing everything out when this guy says it so well in two videos that total 20 minutes (give or take).

He does make some good points, but I don't like some of his insinuations. And I have no idea why he thinks the video was "leaked," when the FBI Agent gave a press conference to release it.

His heart might be in the right place, but he needs to start finding people already working on it and making plans, like the Oathkeepers or the Pacific Patriots Network or the Constitutional Sheriffs organization. Splinter groups and lone wolves seldom help the whole.

How about the plan be to not do stupid things like invade other people's town with an armed mob of nutters. Then not make all kinds of statements about fighting to the death, not being taken alive, being sent by God. Then not make everybody hate you by doing stupid things and refuse to leave when everybody wants you to go. Then go for a gun when your being arrested. Then pretend that all that fight to death and never be taken alive nonsense was never said and that desperately trying to add things to a video of the shooting that do not exist. How is that for a plan.

Take a look at this detailed examination of the video. It seems to disagree with your statement. He shows that the brake lights on the truck come on as soon as the roadblock comes into sight and stay on until the truck stops. Who attempts to run a road block with their brakes applied?

The only peaceful plan that would work is for people start locally to change things, get people in office that are for the people not corporations. If we did that nationwide, we could fix things without the need of violence.

Once we get people that care about the people over corporations, we could add things like term limits, do away with legal bribery, inside trading etc. Until that happens we are screwed.

Their is two sides to every coin my friend, and howdy dooty to you! I feel special to have a reply from a Mod but in all seriousness, how is it that you come to the conclusion about his statements? I believe there is a thread started on here exposing that the interviews were totally hyped and his statements were totally blow out of proportion. At about the 22 minute mark, the interviewer(Dave Miller) asks Mr Finicum: "Are you willing to die for this cause?" To which Mr Finicum responds:
"Oh I don't want to die! I have children and grandchildren! I want to go home! I want to ride, and take care of my cows, and spend time with my kids and my wife! I mean, hell that's not what I intend to do, but uh, I most certainly love freedom, and if freedom is not more valuable than life, then, do we really deserve it?"

Your reply the more I look at it is totally opinionated, and has no factual evidence of any kind. I kind of can't believe that you even posted that crap! Everyone does not hate him... or want them to go home(WTF??) Show me the evidence that he had the gun or pulled it?? Where's the video of the shooting with sound that you watched that allowed you to be so sure of your claims?? Show me the autopsy, show me a body cam you seem to have seen or dashboard footage.... anything... can you? Can you explain if the truck is so damn dangerous why the hell are cops standing right behind the truck shooting at Lavoy? I suppose if you're so sure of what happened then I guess you should stay out of these types of conversations, because after all this is ATS and I'm Denying your Ignorance Sir.

Are we talking about the same part of the video? He stopped for the FIRST group of cars. Indeed, one guy got out. Then he kept going and ran the SECOND roadblock (which was NOT on a blind curve) off to the left and got stuck. Indeed, even Shawna Cox reported that the wheels were still spinning when she got out of the truck herself. He tried to get around that roadblock. Don't claim the brakes were on when he did so. he had no intention of stopping and, had he not been stuck, would have kept on going.

Have you actually looked at the analysis at the link I posted? Are you saying the analysis added the brake lights to the frames he extracted from the FBI video?

At 7:49 the brake lights are clearly on when they stop the first time.
They take off and the brake lights go off, only the tail lights are showing.
At 9:12 the brake lights come on, just as he is approaching the road sign on the left.
At 9:16 the vehicle is off the road and the brake lights are still showing. That's the official video, did they add those brake lights? The brake lights go out as the truck begins to almost flip onto its side---probably because the impact caused his foot to slip off the brake.
Do you ride your brakes when trying to run away from someone?
I don't think you've even looked the link of the analysis I posted. That analysis clearly shows in the photo of the area afterwards that it was indeed a blind curve. Three seconds to go from 55 mph to zero?
I'm really impressed that you have such psychic abilities as to be able to read his mind as he was driving that truck!
He had three choices and had to make a decision in about 2 seconds---he could hit the vehicles---almost certain gross injuries for all involved---he could drive to the right of the block---almost certain death for the occupants of the vehicle and the truck rolled down the grade---go to the left of the block where the snow would stop the truck without injury to anyone.

Now it is pretty obvious that the agents at the roadblock "thought" he was going to try to go through the vehicles, otherwise why would one jump into the very path the truck was taking? At 9:15 the truck is completely off the road already, no sign of the agent. At 9:16.5 the agent appears to be jumping in front of the truck. I don't he was actually trying to jump in front of the truck, I think it's a better bet that his actions were a continuation of the movement we don't see behind the roadblock, that he believed that the truck was going to smash into the block and he was trying to get out of the way. He was hiding behind the truck and hadn't actually seen it veer off the road. As you can see, his buddies on the right of the block begin moving toward the truck as soon as it veers off the road because they've had it in their sights and know he's not going to hit the block.
Now I will admit that I find it just a tad bit strange that just at the critical second, when the truck crashed, (9:17) the plane loses the view....hmmmm---only 3 seconds later, at 9:20 the truck comes back into view and the door is already open. Now, if he wasn't wearing a seat belt, he would have been considerably shaken up by that impact and the truck almost turning on its side. He has pretty quick reflexes to be able to shake that off and open the door in 3 seconds. If he was wearing a seat belt and didn't get thrown around or hit with an airbag (I don't know if his truck was equipped with them or not), he must have some really cool quick-release seat belts because I know I can't get mine undone and the door opened in three seconds.
But go ahead and close your eyes and keep insisting that he didn't have his brakes applied and that you know what his intentions were. Talk about willful ignorance! Who are you going to believe? The FBI agent who claimed he was attempting to "run the roadblock" or your own lying eye which can see the brake lights come on when the roadblock becomes visible to him?

I can't believe you are seriously suggesting he tried to stop at that second roadblock. He may have put on his brakes when he first saw it, then HE RAN THE ROADBLOCK! And then he jumped out of the truck yelling, "Shoot me! Shoot me! Shoot me!" This from the testimony of Shawna Cox herself.

He tried to get around it on the left side. But his timing was off and he got stuck. If he had wanted to stop, he could have stopped right there in the middle of the road before he got close to the roadblock, just like he did for the first set of vehicles.

I live a county away and can say for a fact that the real ranchers and farmers that these clowns claim to represent do not share their beliefs or values.

The common sentiment is that the Burns protesters are a bunch of delusional nitwits, not freedom fighting constitutionalists.

Lavoy Finicum was the architect of his own death and the fact that all of the others walked away(including the Bundy Brothers) takes the air out of the claims some are trying to make regarding state sanctioned assassination to silence political dissidents.

Save the crown of thorns for somebody deserving.

First, I didn't call you any names. I said you are being willfully ignorant.
You have yet to explain to me how you "run a road block" with your brakes applied.
You have yet to explain how he could have gone from 50-55 mph to zero in three seconds.
You have yet to explain how he recovered from that crash and got his door open in less than three seconds.
The first stop was not a road block. The LEO vehicles were behind the truck in that one. You are obviously confused.
Have you watched the video or are you just going from what the FBI said?
You obviously haven't even looked at the link provided---thus my comment on your willful ignorance. People who are intending to run don't hit the brakes and stay on them until they crash. Simple logic.
