Donald Trump is moving ever closer to nailing down the republican party nomination for president of the United States. This is so despite the fact that he is the most dangerous threat to our basic constitutional rights than any other political figure to come along in several generations. Even his own party would like to dump him but are just too afraid to do so, or are clueless as to how to go about it. We are dealing with a bigoted racially dividing megalomaniac and braggart dangerously in love with himself and lusting after power.

As an example of the lack of willingness to confront this man, even though Trump voluntarily took himself out of the picture at the Jan. 28, 2016 Republican debate, the other candidates failed to take advantage of the chance to speak out against him, except for some opening sarcastic remarks against Trump's style made by Ted Cruz which fell kind of flat and were largely without impact.

The only way to handle Sir Donald is to confront him and insist that he answer the tough questions and force him to explain and prove that he is qualified to serve as the nation's chief executive. Except for Megan Kelly of Fox News the other moderators at the debates have been unable or unwilling to do this.

There are a number of questions Trump must be made to answer satisfactorily going forward. They are as follows:

Will you continue to violate our first amendment rights to free speech and assembly by forcing people out of your political rallies just because they disagree with you and heckle you? Why do you force a person out into the cold air simply because she is dressed differently than others in the crowd?

Why didn't you do your homework so that you would have been aware that China was not a party to he Trans Pacific Trade Agreement ? Yet you blamed China's history of being a bad actor that takes advantage of other nations as your reason for opposing the agreement!

What is your plan to defeat Isis other than your absurd promise to bomb all the oil fields in the M.E. out of existence and then to invite your friends at Exon Mobile Co. to gather the residual oil and bring it to you?

What do you mean when you continually say things like "something bad is coming out of there"?

How do you explain why your plan to keep all the Sunni Arab immigrants out of America won't only serve to help Isis recruit more home grown radicals to their cause? Do you really want to bar the King of Jordan and the princes of Saudi Arabia from the United States when we need their help to form a coalition against the terrorists?

Why do you believe that the way to the White House is paved by insults and intimidation or by bragging about how wealthy you are? Or by calling everyone who disagrees with you stupid? And why do you continually demean women and demonstrate your fear of Megan Kelly simply because you don't want to handle the questions she would have asked at the recent debate? Are you trying to hide something?

How do you explain why you are the only candidate for president of either party who has the endorsement of America's most dangerous adversary, the international gangster, Vladimir Putin? Or why you welcomed that endorsement?

Finally when do you do finally tell the American people the actual substance of your policies for addressing America's problems if you really have any substantive policies at all? For example, how would you handle a middle of the night crisis call to the White House that we are under attack, and why do you feel you can be trusted with America's nuclear power in the face of such a crisis?

It is my opinion that Trump can be dumped if moderators and interviewers alike would only call him to account and insist on answers to the each of the above questions or to similar ones. In any event, the American people are surely entitled to the answers to these inquiries from someone who would be president.

You'll learn to love the Trump. Especially when he starts stomping on heads, bringing about a U.S vision, born of the Trump's brain.

Sorry. His vision of America is awful to even contemplate. If he became president, then we'd all be saying "something bad is coming out of there."

He wont become president.

Nor will sanders

To think otherwise is to not acknowledge how fixed the entire election process is and underestimate the sheer corruption in DC.

What's the worst thing Trump will do as president, in your opinion?

Well - I think he's a clown, but I can't agree that he's anywhere CLOSE to being "the most dangerous threat to our basic constitutional rights than any other political figure to come along in several generations." I'm kind of hoping Trump does take Iowa, because Cruz could end up actually being be the person to fit that description.

Your questions are valid and I would love to see Trump be put in a position to answer them. But our press today is just part of the same celebrity culture that Donald is, and they don't give a rat's ass about real information reaching the public, so don't hold your breath waiting for them to ask these questions.

I'll never understand how people don't think Trump is already in bed with TPTB. He's a god damn billionaire, do you really think he's running for the American people? Ponder this, TPTB put Trump in place as the "anti-establishment" candidate to counter the real anti-establishment candidate, Bernie Sanders.

Rand Paul quite literally seems like the only sane, logical, honest one left out of all of them.

And dare I say Christie.

Well, he's in full support of our Big Brother system and worst of all he'll destroy our relations with foreign nations, who all hate him as a candidate. He has no plan, just words. He'll be the worst president in recent history and that's saying A LOT.

I sure hope you're right that neither Trump or Sanders will get their respective party nomination. Each would be a disaster for America. One from the far right, the other from the far left.

The thing is, my American cousins, you have the world at your hands.

Are you going to produce a 'do the same thing' President or are you going to go with a 'different way of thinking' type President.

The choice is yours, the reverberations of that choice, the World's.

That's how I feel about all of the current presidential candidates, regardless of political affiliation.

If I had to choose, it would be Rand Paul, followed by Bernie Sanders, followed by Gary Johnson. As much as I like Bernie's rhetoric, and find many of his ideas to be many of the same I've had for years, I still have my doubts.

Looking at Clinton, Bush, Rubio, Cruz, Trump - my personal opinion is a whole lot of nope, and although I have my doubts regarding other candidates, when it comes to these people... I can hardly find a reason why I would want to agree with them.

At the end of the day - what I would want to see; a Sanders v. Paul ticket. That would be interesting to see, and would contain more coverage/discussion regarding actual events compared to the last fifty "debates," combined.

But at the same time, I want to see a Sanders v. Trump ticket.

"The Communist v. The Fascist," because that represents the level of intellect that resonates within this election cycle.

Because the establishment you're thinking of is not what everyone else refers to. We're not talking about Congress, we're talking about the elite who own Congress and DC itself. They are the ones who push their agendas.

Sanders, the Independent Senator who wasn't bought.

How the hell do you not see Trump as the establishment when he has said himself he's bought politicians to do his bidding?

If that turns out to be the case then TPTB Trumped everybody once again! Status Quo rules the day.
