I saw the thread title, and thought, "yup, now that's the way to do it." My optimism turned to disappointment however when I saw it was from the Daily Express. A Google search of the leader revealed an overwhelming homogeny of those carrying the story. It's taken one sided to a new extreme.

Bias is bias. What I mean is it is the same article copied and pasted onto multiple sources.

Here is an idea.

Why not coat an entire area with some sort of detectable radiation or chemical exposure. If in a contained area that is known to have militant activity a marker is placed on everyone inside, it would be easier to track them and weed them out of a crowd later on.

You could use different isotopes or even chemical markers to paint militants with something identifiable for a specific area it was used in. If someone from that battle zone makes it into a civilian center you could find them faster without hurting innocents that are not involved. This has the added benefit of allowing the tracking of enemy movement and supply lines as such would have residual markers.

I heard that sort of thing is detectable from orbit. Also with hand held stuff. So just spray an area you know they are in with something to mark them.

Maybe something that only reacts to people.

Chemical tracers are admitted to already exist, it is not a large leap to assume this technology is already being used covertly. Likely sprayed from drone aircraft..

Already happening but not enough and these guy's are specialists, once every soldier in the British army was trained to be a marksman and the best were then selected for sniper team's but these day's most of them are more IT inclined.

Of course these are only the famous one's and only there varified number of kill's.
Sometime's they top brass choose not to cut the head off the snake though because it is often easier to keep these fanatical groups from splintering and letting them round themselves up into a targetable location and so enable a more decisive clean slate action to then be taken against the group as a whole but Syria is a mess and perhaps cutting the head from the snake would be not only a good thing but also the prudent one.

It would be a very good thing were a similar sniper to start to deal with ISIS in Iraq and Syria because it would help to stop the flow of misery as people have to leave their destroyed homes and towns etc.

This action to infiltrate and then snipe is the best weapon the West has against what is happening. Can't help wondering if this might not be even a Russian tactic simply because it seems to have started up since Russia became a fighter against Daesh.

Anything that starts the destruction of Daesh and all its hateful thugs can only be a good thing for the world in getting rid of this boil of human excrement that exists at this time.
