The bald eagle and snowy owl, oh wait
Seriously though, the P-51 and SR-71 have to be some of the most beautiful planes ever made. I also find the B2 to be quite impressive especially when you see it in the air.

The tu-160 "borrowed" a great deal from the B-1, hence the similarities in desgin.

Well, it's only fair. Didn't the F-86 Sabre 'borrow' a lot from the MiG of that time?

But yes, the Spitfire is a wonderful aircraft. Other than that and maybe the Mustang, I always thought the P-38 design was very nice as well. Same with original Black Widow, which was based off of the P-38.

Although the Black Widow II is eye catching as well... although a little bulky for my tastes.

Forget it bussy none of your characterless rocket powered compurerized darts (jets) are ever going to even approach the aesthetic qualities of a true aircraft such as the Vickers/Supermarine Spitfire. Just dont bother, pack it up and go home.

the SR-71 beats them all. it is one of the most beautiful beasts in the air and can never be replaced.

Not really, to be truthful the MiG was based on Focke Wulf research while the F-86 (the swept wing version) was based on Messerschmitt work, so even if they had been produced in Germany they would still have been deadly rivals

The XB-70 Valkyrie was a hot looking crate. It is a shame that it never went into production. After the prototype's collsion with an F-104 the project was discontinued. The DH Comet airliner is another beautiful aircraft and so is the Lockheed Constellation.

I'm going to have to say the F-14 (worlds best interceptor in my opinion, god I'll miss them);

I have to agree, the Russians really made a kick @$$ plane with the Flanker;

A have to say the Sweedish Gripens are pretty sweet too;

And who good forget the A-10, sure it's not sleek and all but it looks it's ready to kick for some tank hunting;
