The slow progress reflects the knottiness of one of Silicon Valley’s most persistent problems: It’s too white.
“There are not a lot of people of color in the Valley—and that, by itself, makes it kind of unwelcoming”
"More than 20 percent of all black computer science graduates attended an historically black school, according to federal statistics—yet the Valley wasn’t looking for candidates at these institutions."
We wanted to highlight some of the black women who not only have founded their own companies but also have been behind the scenes creating, coding and designing products, software and websites. Whether they’re creating an app for hair-product recommendations or a website to help keep water running for Detroit residents, these 10 remarkable women are blazing a trail so others can follow
Okay, so its a racist thread.
I worked in Silicon Valley back when at several engineering computer firms, never saw a black guy in their ranks.
The further back you go, the whiter corporations are at the top. Especially in Silicon Valley.

Apparently, some feel that Silicon Valley discriminates based on color for the lack of African Americans ? Technically I guess its more than color its about the right shades of dark color since they hire Asian, Indians, and Latinos.

WTF , how is that not racist and not equivalent to the infamous white guy crossing the road to avoid oncoming black people?
"More than 20 percent of all black computer science graduates attended an historically black school, according to federal statistics—yet the Valley wasn’t looking for candidates at these institutions."
This could be used to reinforce the thought that the majority of people that care and judge based on color are mostly African Americans.
Here is some crazy news, they are also not looking at candidates from my community schools.
Perhaps the article should be why you shouldn't attend a non racially diverse university or a university that doesn't attract employers in your field?
I'm not white and I find the temptation to blame everything on color not only dangerous but unconstructive and damaging to all the efforts that have been made to fight racism.
I know its the MSM and the Establishments plan to keep us fighting among each other using racism, sexuality, and politics while they rob us blind , but I'm curious to see how many here think that Racism is to often the lazy excuse?
Does the strategy to fight racism need to be changed?
Is it time to have a black , white ,gay, straight, democrat, republican, million Human march to demonstrate to the establishments and politicians that we are no longer going to fall for their use of racism, sexuality, and politics so we can advance humanity?

or you could just do as the UK have done for years and lower pass marks and entry requirements for minorities so they can get these jobs but not actually be qualified for them but hey who cares if your surgeon can't actually operate as long as the pc brigade the whiners and the underqualified minorities get a job instead of one of those dreadful white people
