This is almost identical to a story that I read a few year back-a young Brazilian women who was claimed to be possessed was exorcised and then she also passed away.

I Think it may be psychosomatic as stigmata and demonic possessions predominately occur in devotees. When was the last time anyone heard of an atheist being possessed?

I've also read similar stories of young girls in Rural South America that have been seemingly possessed by the devil however the locals might not be aware that the young women in question may have been ovulating for the first time in their lives. Biology and psychology has to come first before we entertain the idea of demons.

If you ever go to the website liveleak , you will notice how much a lack of disregard they have for lives there no matter what age.

Not all Brazlians are like this of course, but you would be hard pressed to not see a post about a horrendous violent crime happening on a daily basis .

I would think that either she had some mental issues or just got involved with some sick b@stard before Demons. Humans are capable of some bad stuff and no demons are required.

Not to be crude or insulting but I think he may have been referring to a woman being on her monthly. I've seen plenty of women act like they're possessed when that time of the month rolls around.

I don't know. My wife sure seems possessed when she's ovulating (but I probably have my female anatomy terms mixed up, confusing ovulating with menstrating).

Not that respect seems to be something you know about. On that, you'll have to prove that you are more than what you have shown us in this thread.

First off, poor girl... either way, demon or human murderer or mental illness, poor, poor person... and thanks for posting this as it is interesting beyond the tragedy.

Who knows if it was a "demon" or a "soul" still in a human body that did this?

This whole "demon" thang is one strange can of nasty worms, and I find it confusing. I know there are critters without bodies, but who, what, where, why and how they are remains a puzzle (to me). I'm relatively sure standard dogma is incomplete and simplistic and any delving into the more intellectual occult areas (they do exist, btw) will raise some interesting assertions/discussions.

Some say these nasty things are the same "thing" that is conscious and animates us... just bent and bitter. Some say they are inherently different, older and alien. Either way, paying attention to them makes them stronger in the literal and metaphorical sense, both.

But if they exist and pull strings from some one-off dimension, ignoring them might not be smart either. So...?

Maybe conscious disengagement might be the best course of action? These things seem to vie for attention... "good" and "bad" both.

But, we may well be playthings and players both, too... icky? Great? Depends on perspective I guess.

But "demons" bore me as they are simplistic and predictable (Orgorox kill, isolate, hate, manipulate... uhhhg) but they have made some great music, according to fundies... heh.

You are very right. We don't need demons, humans can be worse than anything else and you are pretty much right that a murder is one of the best explanations. What it bothers about this case is, why would a killer bother to write a letter in fluent latin? Most people in Brazil doesn't even bother themselfs to learn Spanish, which is a very simmilar language to portuguese. Someone who speak Latin would be quite a find.

I don't really believe demons are a thing of reality, but interesting nonetheless.

DEMONS DON'T EXIST! And the longer people believe in that bullcrap or even consider it for a moment, the longer that the real evils that stalk the earth will get away with all their heinous crimes. Come on guys, get a grip! Clearly at least one other individual was involved, probably and possibly connected to the church or having church background(certain schools teach it, like catholic for instance) due to learning latin. That should narrow down a search, honestly. And, that's only IF this girl didn't know latin herself. I didn't read all of the stuff. Still, JESUS H CHRIST PEOPLE. Cross demons out.

Well, I totally agree with you... buuuut, I've run into ghosts (or tulpas, lost souls, extra-dimensional beings, plasma or dark energy critters, invisible aliens, nooglepooks...whatever moniker one wants to use) and thus know something without a visible body interacts with this world in some capacity... and if that is a true thing, despite my expectations they were the stuff of ignorance, then what else that I thought was bunk... is not?

On top of that, I was once harassed by something that had a very strong ambiance of ...er... w r o n g to it. Was it a ghost, or demon, etc? I have no friggan clue, but I cannot say with any veracity that they are impossible due to my own measured, considered experiences...as much as I'd love to.

Some wise folks I respect have taken the time to explain it all, but other wise folks I also respect tell a different story.. .etc., etc.

Unfortunately I'm not a psychic with the ability to easily study these things, and so I have to piece it together by hearsay and a few rare personal observations... like watching the magic act, so- to- speak, and not belonging to the magician's union.

It's a huge puzzle to me, but one thing I've found is that these things, whether from within ourselves, or external or otherwise (hey, it could be something even weirder, right?), seem to get stronger the more attention is paid.

But as far as team angles vs team devils? Nonsense... but I can't say anything for sure other than invisible critters seem to exist... but it's probably better to never have that ignorant, illogical side of life proven to you... 'cause it sucks.

I'm sorry to hear about your trials because I see a lot of sad stuff there and I relate. I, too, have had trials. But it's also an indication that you really are quite fairly intelligent and imaginative, which is something. That can help you, it really can. But I have the sneaking suspicion that it won't benefit us to deny reality much longer... no matter how much it hurts to be pulled into the truth, into that light. I would say it is entirely internal but sometimes... what happens internally needs an external trigger. Therefore it's a mixture of both sometimes and sometimes it happens entirely by accident. Other times... it's purposeful.

I say, don't trust your own senses. Begin there.

And when the self betrayal becomes apparent, forgive yourself. Love yourself. Know yourself.

It's all very tricky and dark. It's like I'm constantly trying to clear the cobwebs out of my own mind and I could be projecting so I apologize if I'm way off. But I can't help what I see, either. And I don't really blame others for believing in stuff but honestly... blaming a girls death on the devil is so... mentally dark aged and beyond ridiculous. The real culprits are out there getting away with their evil deeds because "the devil did it" and how do you put the devil on trial?
