A great actor.

We loved him in Harry Potter.

Very sad to see him go.

I dunno, maybe it's the double, triple whammy of the quick succession of deaths this last few weeks but, damn, this has really hit me. And I thought Bowie hit me.

Well this just sucks!

Again 69 and again cancer and again someone actually great at what they did!

I have to agree there. For all his accomplishment as a thespian and director, his role in Dogma was the one for which I have the most fondness, and the first one I think of, upon hearing his name.

A great shame that he has left the mortal plain.

His greatness was that he utterly transformed himself into whatever character he was at the moment. And you wholly bought into it. Think about it - Hans Gruber, Colonel Brandon, Metatron, Severus Snape, Sheriff of Nottingham. He completely owned everyone and they each stole the show.

The man who sang Lazarus and a man that played Lazarus both died in the same week, both at 69 years old.

Lazarus of Bethany is the subject of a prominent miracle attributed to Jesus in the Gospel of John, in which Jesus restores him to life four days after his death.

Bowie was deep in occultism and rituals, at least in the 70's. His "Blackstar" video was downright a weird display of a cult briging back the soul of Bowie to be worshipped as a god. If Bowie comes back today, he could be the anti-christ! :p

Alan Rickman also played as the Sheriff in Robin Hood and was into occultism, he played Metatron in Dogma which is a popular entity from which new agers channel from, he played Severus Snape(Snake) in Harry Potter, in Eye in the Sky(all seeing eye), he played Rasputin which was also deep in occultism.

From the likes of it, he wasn't a profane.

There is no denying that the subject does have conspiratory value.

Sheriff of Nottingham.

At least somebody remembers his role

And let's not forget he's the Blue caterpillar too, fortunately he managed to finish off the new Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking Glass, it'll be the last time we'll hear him on the big screen

RIP Mr Rickman

Damn, what a huge loss for us movie fans... I've watched movies just because Alan Rickman was in them.

*sigh*

Rickman was what my daughter called her "old man crush"... she's going to be so gutted about this.

RIP good sir.

Here's the symbol of Cancer

www.symbols.com...

Notice the 69.

Knowing how some people up there are into symbolism, this is striking to say the least.

What a loss, I absolutely loved him as Metatron... oh and the voice of a depressed robot.

RIP Alan

The irony is not lost on me, however many people under the same sign lose their lives well beyond 69.

Sure they were both famous but what's the correlation your trying to make otherwise ?

Even fixing the script for Prince of Thieves he kept the stiches small.
Adieu, Alan..rest easy now.

Just heard on the 6 o' clock news.

Dear Alan. Such a towering presence on the silver screen and such a unique voice. Simply irreplaceable.

Cancer sucks.
