David Bowie died today.

I grew up listening to his music, and that of many, many people his music influenced over the years.

May he rest in peace.

We only buried Lemmy two days ago and now another rock and roll legend is gone.

He died of some kind of cancer according to the BBC but I think the news has only just broke.

I loved this one as a kid

They are saying cancer. What type I don't know.

One of my favorite artists... he was a seriously gifted musician/song writer/producer ... sad news.

My wife and I didn't want to believe it at first because there was a death hoax a few days ago, but here it is in digital print on the BBC.

On a side note: there are some VIPs with whom I have serious problems imagining their private lives - Freddy Mercury, Sting, David Bowie.. Others I always picture in my mind as hard working on financial (like the members of the Rolling Stones) but not these ones. They just seem to be far too away from the mere and simple reality.

Wonderful people, all of them. Now there is one less and many will mourn.

This is a post-Bowie world and it's surreal.

I hate to be morbid but...I wonder which other two celebrities will die soon? You know, since they always seem to die in threes.
