New X Files Who is watching?

I will be watching of course but I only wish we had a show (different to The X Files) but more serious more like Contact?

Whatever happened to Reyes and Doggett anyway? And how the hell is The Smoking Man back? lol. Maybe it turns out he is one of those super soldiers?

I have watched a 21 minute behind the scenes look at the new season, and based on what I have seen and heard I cannot imagine that any fan of the series is going to be happy with just 6 episodes. They all look really really good. I hear the first episode tomorrow night has to do with an alien abduction, and the second episode on Monday night has to do with a scientist who was involved in some genetic experiments, and lets just say the experiments got out of hand. I have also seen a commercial where a ufo crash lands somewhere. Can't wait.

I hear that Skully wakes to find Mulder in the shower and it was all a dream after series three

One thing is for sure, Mulder and Skully never had any access to any alien anti-aging miracle tech or voodoo ju-ju.

ha ha....I said the EXACT same thing... They covered pretty much every conspiracy theory in the past 70 years....

It's not (really) aliens...it's the Illuminati using the alien conspiracy as a cover (i.e. Mirage Men).

I went back to the first season on Friday night and started watching the initial episodes because I couldn't remember them. I cringe at how hokey the show (and acting) really was.... I mean, wow....

In the new show, I see a lot of the same hokiness, but the acting is marginally better in my opinion...

But, as kosmicjack said, the conspiracy is in a conspiracy, is in a ... And I agree with the fact they have been mining ATS!...

The whole monologue of O'malley wrapping up the big picture is a condensed version of all conspiracies we find on the web.

As a conspiracy nut, I will ask if this show is an updated big picture for the masses, is it a deliberate attempt at a controlled disclosure?
I mean, never before in the show we were shown so much in a single episode(anti-grav vehicle, invisibility cloak, zero point energy). Of course they had to bring up some meat to chew on, but this was a big chunk.
The other interesting angle they got on this early in the show was the emphasis of the breakaway organisation. Not just the government anymore, but a more secretive "above top secret" human people society, disguised as ETs.

All in all, I am inclined to think this show have been brought back to get people up to date, or to educate the masses to all the things to come...

I crave to believe.

I am a bit stunned at the direction this goes, a fine job tying all the CT together in one neat little package. So They admit the US gov kills the aliens who they bring in by detonating the nuclear bombs, then shoot them down when they come to rescue all life and steal their technology.

That they (the gov) are the ones behind alien hybrid agenda, and kill the only credible hybrid that they know of...

So is Mulder and Skully's baby a hybrid? Seems that is direction this is taking us.

I am going to go buy a 1lb bag of popcorn and some real butter to wait for the rest of this mini-series!!!

FOX has hit pay dirt on this, just wonder if they will leave it open for more to please the fans or if they kill off the main characters?

And OMG!!! The smoking man's way of smoking!!! OMG!!!

Oh and I LOVED the whole technology/EMP/crash of the dollar/FEMAcamp/Prizon Planet theme! Oh yeah, hope it happens during this 6 week series!!! Are "they" disclosing in this? Disclosing the collapse, not the Alien connection which they have wrong so far and the only cover up is reversed about that. Taking credit where they didn't even start training ET pilots until the mid eighties...

One more thought, it is very very interesting how Mulder talks about the off world technologies already in place through black op's/budget to have humanity live off world once they destroy it!

Yeah, I was thinking the same. The dialogue felt very unnatural, scripted and over the top . With all the spoon feeding it felt like it had an infomercial feel to it.

With that said looking forward tonights show.
