Stop letting Bibi, spelling it like that on purpose, do your thinking.

What exactly has Israel done for us recently?

IMO, we scale back massively our support for both them and Saudi. Since they are some of the biggest agitators in the ME.

No I just added that to get you to foam at the mouth. I do support cutting off their welfare payments and running AIPAC out of the country, though.

I use my head to place my thoughts on a page so that my message gets across in a meaningful way. It seems like you are doing the foaming and you're certainly not getting any message out at all. Some people just don't get it and I think you need to look around , reevaluate, try to contribute, and do some thinking about these issues.

Have you forgotten that Isis is in Syria, Iraq, and elsewhere in the M.E. and have made war on the entire West? Do you really think that the bombing campaign is only about oil when it is actually about defeating a jihadist enemy out to rob us of our way of life and of our lives?

Do you remember that was almost the exact thought process about AQ and the Taliban??

What did our wars to stomp them out accomplish?

As a vet who has fought those wars I know that is pure propaganda. They hit us because we fight them. Did you think all our meddling in their affairs would be welcomed?

It's time to wake up! Isis cannot be defeated without those boots on the ground and unless the U.S. leads the way, we can't expect our coalition partners to join and help. Too bad all you seem to focus on is whether someone is sucking up to the military. Would you rather be forced at gunpoint to suck up to Isis one day soon??

How many Aircraft carriers does ISIS have? Amphibious assault craft? 5th gen fighters? O wait they have none.

ISIS or anyone else wont be invading the USA any time soon.

The only two countrys that have any sort of projection force besides the USA are France and the UK and even then its minute compared to the USA.

So no ISIS wont be takeing over the USA, nor will Russia or China.

They'll do it socially and economically.

Only if we let them.

And spending trillions more in military spending the USA doesnt have is letting them.

Which is just another vague statement that doesn't really mean anything.

Also one that would show that a boots on the ground war wouldn't do much, but I am sure that wasn't your intention.

So you're saying they got their hands on the CIA playbook.

Anyway, in such a case a bigger military wouldn't be able to help.

Were you born in 1960? If so that makes us nearly the same age. It also would indicate that you have learned nothing since High School. I used to believe as you do. I loved Reagan and was proud to join-up to protect our nation and the world from evil. Then I went to Panama and a few other nice places, and watched the Iran-Contra hearings on TV. Then I had a long talk with my father and realized that things were not as I had been led to believe. I wish you were right because the real world is far worse, and more complicated, than the one you adhere to.

The terrorists don't need assault craft and aircraft carriers to carry out their attacks on our soil. Remember the recent radicalized jihadist attack in California? And now Isis is beginning to infiltrate from places like Jamaica as well as per a top general. Our current efforts to defeat Isis must be altered to effectively meet the threat, and based on past events and statements from President Obama, he doesn't even see this as America's fight. And neither does Hillary Clinton!

Trump's attempts to blame everything on Muslims generally is only helping Isis to gain even more recruits and increase the number of radicalized jihadists to their cause when we need Sunni Muslims to join the coalition forces necessary to to defeat Isis.

It is simply insanity to continue the same tactics that aren't working and expect improved or different results. We need new leadership and a new strategy and we need it now! Unfortunately Obama doesn't get it and neither do Trump and Mrs. Clinton.

Well, you seem to have all the answers! ! What are you going to do about it?? BTW from my perspective in this thread, you have precious little credibility.

Far from it, but at least I have proposed some plan of action I think will help. I haven't seen anything like a plan from you yet. As far as credibility is concerned, you might check out how things have been unfolding under President Obama's so called leadership so far in dealing with Isis. That says it all! Leading from behind just doesn't work and pretending everything is fine and trying to solve problems by ignoring them or refusing to try something different doesn't work either!

Maybe it's time for you to find some answers.

If you want America to be great again, then you will have to remove our government, Military, our Banking system and Corporations.

The corruption is out of control, the war of greed is out of control, and our Representatives in Congress do not represent us any longer.

Until you do this, you will never see the corporate United States great again. All these wars the United States are in, are illegal.

Terrorism was created by the powers that be, to steal resources and plunder Nations because more is not enough.

You may believe this is impossible, however We The People have the power to do it.

Sounds like you think America would be great with no military to protect us, no government to provide our seniors with social security benefits which they paid into a fund all their working lives to help them in retirement, and no legislature to provide statutes to protect our citizens. Isis would love to make war on an America like that! Anarchy doesn't work in civilized society. What you propose would only create a jungle. I'm glad you're not running for any important political office!

Ironic, considering you're proposing doubling down on a failed strategy.

Terrorism has never been beaten head on with military force.

Terrorist gangs like the Baader Meinhof gang and Red Brigades were brought down by imprisoning their leaders and disrupting their networks.

Terrorist armies like the IRA and ETA fell away because they lost their support base. The original grievances were taken seriously and addressed and, as the active militants got older, there was nobody to replace them.

Still, as long as it's someone else's boots on the ground, eh?

I just can't understand how you can think that Isis is just going to melt away. They have 35,000 jihadist soldiers on the ground when you combine their presence in Syria, Iraq and now even in other locations like Somalia and elsewhere like Jamaica. Our generals have advised Obama repeatedly that Isis cannot be defeated from the air alone and a few hundred special forces troops is nothing but a pin prick against 35,000 dedicated jihadist fanatic warriors who want to and are more than willing to die so they can be blessed by Allah. They also are increasing the number of their radicalized recruits, some of whom are residents in our own cities here at home. I don't want to see any American soldier killed in any M.E. conflict, but we are in this fight already, we didn't start it, and we MUST win it! No one ever said it would be easy or without sacrifice, but the price simply has to be paid.

First of all J.F.K. would have never allowed our military to erode like Obama has done, and second of all, J.F.K. would go all out to preserve our nation and protect the American people from terrorism if he were alive and active today.

I have read many books about Kennedy and I'm old enough to have witnessed how he stood up to the Soviets during the great crisis of October 1962 when we were on the brink of nuclear war with Russia. That is the kind of forceful courageous leadership America deserves to have and must have today to face the very different but nonetheless equally difficult challenges facing us today in the M.E. posed by Isis.
