If the shoe fits, Putin should wear it. He is an international bully!

The demonization and constant slurs towards Russia are nothing more than a propaganda exercise. I suppose it is par for the course and to be expected. There are a few posters here on ATS who appear to be supporting that agenda.
That last example of Russian aggression you cited is nonsense, but I'm sure you know that.
The interception of an approaching unidentified aircraft by the Russians, particularly in today's climate, is to be expected. It is not aggressive.

We have a right to be in that that area to monitor Russian activity given their recent aggressive like moves near the Baltic Sea and Putin will use any excuse he can to make the U.S. appear weak. The recent buzzing of an American warship is one example and Putin's response to our protest was "buzz off."

It depends on the motive and past Russian activity was certainly an intentional provocation. It was Putin who offered the reason for this incident and his credibility is suspect where it comes to what he plans to do in the Baltic area. At the least, our country has the right to be vigilant, to monitor the situation, and to be skeptical of Putin's motives. As Ronald Reagan used to say where the Russians were concerned, "Trust but verify".

We can go back and forth with this all day, Midicon, but testing my speculation against your speculation is an empty gesture as is trying to have the last word.

Per International Business Times, British Special Forces in Libya were attacked today by Isis suicide bombers in Libya where the Radical Islamic Terrorist Group has bee steadily growing in strength for months. Casualties are not yet known .

It is feared that the Isis presence in Libya could lead to more attacks in Europe.

Obama has known about the presence of Isis in Libya for some time now with no concrete plans to deal with the threat there.

At least Great Britain is trying to deal with it but they know there isn't much likelihood that Obama will lend a hand based on his past performance.

As Per CBS News, Lindsay Graham says that Donald Trump's foreign policy is isolationism and it would lead the country into another 9/11 terrorist attack.

The divisive hatred Trump would cause if elected is just the kind of environment where such a catastrophe could happen again, and we would be so divided as a nation, it would be tantamount to civil war in America.

R.N.C.: Do Not Nominate Donald Trump!

As per the AP, North Korea's party Congress is showing full support for their leader, Kim Jong Un. Not surprising. This little tin horn dictator has that entire country shivering in fear for their lives if they dare to oppose him.

This is the dictator's long suit and once in power with the military behind him, it becomes very difficult to dislodge him.

We here in America should learn this lesson well!

Per Foreign Policy Magazine, The U.S, is no longer the world's best military. Even Australia has a more mobile and better trained armed forces than we have.

After years of neglect and lack of proper maintenance under Obama, it is no wonder that we have fallen behind in our National Defense.

Obama thinks all you have to do is "speak softly" (and he has to a fault), but he forgot the other part of Theodore Roosevelt's words, 'but carry a big stick."

a reply to: Cybercreig: Per the AP, Iran is now criticizing the U.S. for it's presence in the Persian Gulf and told our government "to go back to the Bay of Pigs."

It is o.k. for this theocratic dictatorship to export terror all over the world, but not o.k. for the U.S. to look out for our interests in the vital Persian Gulf?

Perhaps Iran thinks all we should care about is what is in our own backyard. That would suit their purposes just fine!

Hopefully Hillary Clinton will deal with Iran much more forcefully and with a great deal more resolve than has President Obama should she become POTUS.

As per National interest Magazine, China is engaged in the development of new technology highly sophisticated hypersonic weapons with which they will be able to challenge any competing interests in their domination of the South China Seas.

This is just one more example of America's major world adversaries getting ever stronger, all of which requires America to become stronger also if we wish to compete on an equal footing as a major player on the world stage.

President Obama has, unfortunately, never payed much attention to the above issue, preferring instead to allow most of his interests to be directed in other areas.

Per ABC News, former secretary of defense, Robert Gates, has grave reservations about Donald Trump as Commander and Chief.

Trump's isolationist policies would bring the country down and his lack of respect from world leaders combined with his hair trigger out of control temper could lead to war.

As per Business Insider Magazine, Donald Trump told a totally false and outrageous tale during a recent speech about a fictitious American General putting down an Islamic terrorist uprising in the Phillippine Islands by killing all but one of the jihadist warriors with bullets soaked in pig's blood. Then the so called general sent the one terrorist he spared back to the local Islamic chief to tell all the other similar minded jihadists what would happen to them as well in the event of any future terrorism in the area.

Naturally, then Trump said that there were no further terrorist threats or attacks, thereby justifying the brutality with his lie.

In only one way did this Trumpian outrageous lie ring true. That is exactly what Trump himself WOULD HAVE DONE!

At all costs, this would be racist fascist dictator must be stopped!! This was Hitler's approach as well!

As per the AP, Assad's forces in Syria and Isis are working in tandem and are in collusion with each other, flashing victory signs.

The Syrian dictator was supposedly an enemy of Isis working to destroy the jihadist terrorists.

Utterly disgusting and totally unacceptable, even to Putin. Unless, of course, Putin, for his own nefarious reasons, was in on this fiasco from the beginning!

It is a cinch Obama didn't know what was going on in Syria and he likely still doesn't know.

Meanwhile secretary of state John Kerry, equally clueless, is trying to preserve the prior cease fire there. Not very promising at all! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing in the Obama administration.

Per the Wasington post and the AP, Isis is growing increasingly violent in Iraq and in Syria despite losing some territory in both places, but Assad's cooperation with the terrorists could at least partially explain the increased jihadist violence in Syria.

Meanwhile NATO is planning on placing a rotational ground force near Poland and in the Baltic states fearing a growing possibility of a Russian invasion in the area, and NATO also plans on placing thousands of troops near Russia's border.

There is not yet any indication whether Obama plans to assist, but it is hoped that in this instance the President's past performance will not be an indication of his future behavior.

Our NATO allies simply must be able to count on the U.S. to start leading from in front instead of from behind!

Per the AP, The head of the U.S. Navy mildly rebuked Vladimir Putin for the close buzzing incidents last month of American warships by Russian planes in the Baltic area.

If that is the only response the U.S. can muster, it can be expected that the buzzing will continue this month as well, and that we'll again be told to "buzz off."

Listening, President Obama?

Per AP, An Islamic Terrorist was arrested in Florida by the F.B.I. before getting the chance to throw a bomb into a Jewish Synagogue located there. Some reports indicate it was the Jewish Center there rather than a synagogue.

Isis goes on and Obama goes on ignoring them. Unless, of course, his F.B.I. successfully intervenes without his even being aware of same when it happens.

Go Away, Mr. President!

As per the AP, The commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard threatened the U.S. that the rogue theocracy will close off the vital Strait of Hormuz to America and it's allies if Iran determines that it's national interests are being interfered with in any way. A huge amount of the world's oil traded by sea passes through the said Strait.

Should this happen, it could easily mean war between the U.S. and Iran because we would have to open the area by force, or see a catastrophic loss of needed oil that would seriously damage the world economy.

Even Obama would have to act under these circumstances.

Except for the fact that our weak cowardly President is still in office, the above threat would be a joke! With Obama, who knows?

Per Reuters and international Business Insider, UK:

Israeli jets have hit Hamas Terrorist targets in the Gaza after a day of border tensions.

Hamas has vowed to destroy Israel repeatedly and launches many rocket attacks on the southern border of the Jewish state from various places in the Gaza, often using human shields.

Once again, Israel has been forced to defend itself and protect it's citizens.

Per Reuters, Assad is back to using poison gas again against the Syrian rebels, this time the deadly Sarin gas!

Here comes the "Red Line" again but it is secretary of state John Kerry who is issuing it rather than Obama himself.

Does any one think this Red line will be taken any more seriously than the prior one authored by the President just because it came from John Kerry, Obama's almost as weak secretary of State?
