I've no problems, if anything it's as fast as it's ever been.

I was just going to post a thread asking this. Nothing would load and there was a huge lag. I got worried for a minute there.

It was down for me for about 5-10 minutes. Got a confirmation from Is It Down or Just Me.

Everything is normal on my end. Maybe it's either your browser, internet connection, or maybe reset your computer.

It seems fine now...

I don't know...maybe was just "one of those things".
Is it Down?

Says it was last down 10 minutes ago so whatever it was it must have been corrected...

I always try to remember the newest thread right before something like this (whatever if anything "this" was) happens to see what may have spawned the attack (if there was one). I'm just odd that way!

It makes me wonder if Win10 is causing problems for people or older versions of windows who have the Win10 logo on their desktop bar. Win 7 won't update at all anymore and i'm bombarded with 'Upgrade to Win10 everytime i boot my OS.

There was about a 20 minute period where the net seemed to slow. FB and ATS and USGS all were really slow for me. I ended up rebooting to see if that was it, but it wasn't now all seems fine.

What is a CME anyway?

I use a peer block program that blocks a few billion IP addresses from ever getting to my computer.

We've been experiencing near daily attacks for about six days. For the most part, our DDoS mitigation service has done well, and there has been no effect on the site. There's no corresponding attack for this recent brief outage in the attack logs, but those can be delayed by up to two hours... so we'll see.

There are several broad attacks happening across the Internet. The hosting service, Linode, has been the primary target.

I wish they'd leave this site alone. I don't know what they hope to accomplish, other than being ass hats. If they're trying to be ass hats they're succeeding.

Thank you.

In Linode's status statement, from one of their engineers, it appears that they are working diligently to protect themselves.

The complete technical explanation to come should be interesting...
