The fact that they would consider banning Trump and allowing Hillary says a lot more about a nation than anything else.

imho

????????????????
Speaking as someone who signed the petition, I think that it means that we don't want a hateful ignorant bloviating prat in this country. Especially as the shadow of violence tends to hover over his rallies.

Good, please keep all Americans out of Europe, keep bringing in your friendly Muslim refugees, it's been working great so far... Your government and people are afraid of words, you'd rather invite people who would kill you with their actions instead.

I think, however - and solely to pander to your inability to stick to a topic- that your point is out-of-time. 35 years is a long time in politics, social opinions and information dissemination technology. People are far more "world aware" these days.

Not only that, Carter cancelled the visas of Iranians, people who owed allegiance to a country that was acting against us at the time. It was part of our sanctions against Iran regarding the hostage crisis. There's no way any thinking person can make the case that a religion is acting against us or that what Trump said is "exactly" the same as Carter's actions.

No we simply do not like to entertain idiots that are not born here.

Being an idiot is not really legitimate grounds to exclude Trump from the UK. The bar for free speech is getting lower day by day in order to pander to the people who cannot cope with stupidity.

Unless your just doing your one line wonder hit and run thing that is?

What part did you not understand?

Hillary is a much more disgusting individual and has actually done more damage than Trump.

But each country has it's own moral yardstick, I suppose.

If you ban hateful bloviating prats, then congress must also be on the list?

And that precludes him from being POTUS?

Not at all. I said he cares VERY MUCH about what others think of him and say. I don't know where you got that from what I said.

Surely it would be entertaining if he came here. The guys comedy gold and it would be great to see him come up against some political debate, where the media isn't pandering to him or scared of him.

There are a variety of different people banned from the UK, including a Hamas Leader, a Russian mafia member and even Michael Savage.

So in other words they just haphazardly condone people who they like and ban others they don't despite what they say. This whole petition thing even seems more trivial to me now.

They have banned people for very good reasons.

Micheal Savage is a good example of why people can be banned for what they say. He is an ignorant, hateful man that spits-out the most disgusting things. It's sad that there is a market for his sort of radio propaganda. But those same people and the ones voting for Trump.

I agree.

My point was though that we have enough idiots of our own here, to start allowing more in would be pointless.

Why import Trump when we already have rich bigoted idiots of our own?

But, he isn't stirring up division and hatred in the UK

We're applying UK laws and policy on individuals on foreign soil by this way of thinking

Which in turn means we should ban all Portuguese and Dutch people who smoke cannabis because while it's perfectly ok to do in their own countries, it is illegal here

We should ban all of Israel from entering for what is happening to the Palestinians

Not to mention it's not like our politicians haven't stirred the division and hatred pot in other nations, it reeks of double standards and censorship and does not embody the liberal and free country we are supposed to live in

Guess you didn't see the Refugees helping the flood victims, eh.

Meanwhile, 0, zero, Zee row people have been killed or attacked by Refugees since the big exodus.

But has Hillary yet done something that caused half a million UK citizens to sign a petition?

That is the question in point here.

What has she done that has caused the UK to act in this way?

I saw the feel good news story but just like you and many others, we can't use that broad brush to label them all good right?

Forgive me for interpreting your initial post as broadbrushing.

Let's look at it another way, more Muslim refugees have helped people than hurt people in the UK.

Apparently nothing Hillary has done has merited a banning. And that is truly a sad thing.

I wish we could ban her from the US.
