I have,

When my Mom passed from cancer in 2011 it wasn't expected to be so soon, and everyone thought she had 6 months or even more in mind according to her doctor, but when it happened I wasn't there at the family home, but she stopped off and I could smell the perfume she always wore right behind me and I was replying to a post right here at ATS at the time. I called out and knew it was her and that she was passing on so I called the home and they said she was passing and I told them I already knew, so I drove over there.
I have had a few dreams with her there and those dreams became lucid. We talked for a bit and I wished her farewell until next time.
There's more but it's personal. The afterlife definitely exists and it isn't any joke.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Touching story. Really gives people hope about the afterlife.

He told me that he had experienced the exact same thing when he was in Europe.

He said it was some time of lesser demonic entity or some such.

I had already spoken to it. After the first few times seeing it I spoke to the house and said "do whatever you want but I swear if you touch me I'm getting a priest".

I got hit with a few doors while living in the apartment but nothing harmful. It was mostly playful stuff up to the end. Bumping me with doors, moving things in the house, making things work randomly, opening and closing the shower curtain all night, random smells, odd stuff like that.

I actually watched a program on TV about ghost stories and there was one story which is exactly like what you describe. It was an old house and there was a lady in white in the house which everyone could see her and she would appear randomly sometimes. Once, one of the girl was talking on the phone when she appeared standing in front of her and then started approaching and calling out her name. The girl got so scared she threw the phone at her and ran downstairs. Another time, she appeared in one of the photos that they took in the house.

Has anyone here had contact with lost relatives?

My dad died almost 2 years ago and I have had a few dreams of him. Almost always in the same setting for some reason. The dream that I remember or I guess is the most memorable was he was telling me he was disappointed in everybody as after he died my brother and one of my sisters were acting like fools and there was a rip between them and everybody else. It is somewhat mending but not sure how long that will last.

I've had a few dreams about one of our dogs who we had to put down the first dream he was growling at me and was angry at me because it was my decision to put him down. Then I told him he had cancer and he didn't know and was ok after that dream. The other dream I had with him was interesting, we were at like a globe of the world and it was spinning and I don't remember the words but he said he was reborn and showed me where.

Our little yorkie we had I've had 1 dream about her but that has been it, and it was with the same dog mentioned above. But I've heard of one other story (Im sure there's been more but I remember this one) After my grandma died I forget exactly who saw it but in my grandmas house apparently this person saw her and it looked like she was getting ready for a party there was maybe 3 other people there and she was answering the door or something like that.

a few months ago maybe even a year before my dad passed he was taking a nap and he yelled for me and he said where is brayden. Brayden is my nephew who was 3-4 at the time, anyway he asked me where he was and to get him cause he just ran in his room and hit his heart.

My nephew wasn't there he lived at the time I don't remember where but definitely far enough away there was no way he could have walked to our house and then back as he was not that old and wouldn't know the way. Then as my dad was passing he kept mentioning this little boy and how he wouldn't talk to him.

So a little backstory when I was growing up I had a reoccuring dream well really a nightmare, it was of a child and it always started the same, I would be out in the living room taking a nap and I would see this child and immediately get a bad feeling from him and he would never do anything I told him to and would basically destroy my room. Then a few times my door would slam shut and I would wake up a little freaked out.

The other dream I had was a lucid dream and I can't say this was the same child or not but the dream was real. Anyway it was me and a child and we were walking through the woods talking, I had no fear or anything of this person and I cannot recall what we spoke of but I remember him telling me a joke and me giggling and him saying if you laugh you will wake up and I tried to hold it in and I ended up waking up laughing.

Is this the same child I can't say but it's definitely not a coincidence. I haven't had that dream or contact with the child/children since I was maybe 12 and I am 36 now. Now the other thing I've had and I put this in the paranormal experience thread and a few more experiences. Anyway Up until I was about 23ish I would actually once in awhile get this feeling of fear and absolute dread in my room I can't explain it and I have stayed with nothing happening. But a few times the dread was so bad I actually left and had to sleep on the couch, now the feeling would be as I was awake and not sleeping or sleepy at all.

I do remember a few times when I was a child I would wake up and be sleeping on the couch with no memory on how I got there.

Hi,

When my son was 6 he told me the pope had been chosen and that he was glad because he was so 'personal'.

Now this would be normal if he had seen it on TV. But he said it before there was white smoke. Moreover, we are not religious.
I wrote about it here on ats just to have it written down. Soon after it was all over the news. And how personal this pope turned out to be!

Thanks Angryhulk,
When this happened I knew instantly the reality of what was happening, but what gets me is that it is so accelerated, like she is passing and is already here by my side and for her I bet time was much slower, but to me I got the feeling that for her perspective, time was freely available like an over abundance of new time, and to me, it's passing very fast and fleeting and I can only catch or see a moment of what she is experiencing.

She actually approached me in a dream a week later and kept bugging me, and to me, I am in a dream and not really paying attention to much, like how dreams are, but she kept trying to get my attention in the dream and it finally woke me right up inside the dream and then I totally understood I was dreaming and that she was actually using this method to visit me I remember saying that she was gone before I expected and I was sorry I didn't see it coming.

No one saw it coming so soon. And I said I was glad she wasn't in any pain anymore and she looked young again, like 40 instead of 78. after that I was talking to her but some of it is fuzzy, like I am not supposed to remember, but it left me very happy and without any worry.

I never ever thought I would experience the sudden knowing of someone passing , like what happened, but it is the real deal.
I was the only one in the family that I know of who was open enough for this to happen. I
I am pretty sure in my opinion it coincides with what we seek and do here in this life overall, as to what we will find in the next one.
Good journeys always to you

My eldest, now 7 when he was three described how it was dark and warm inside his mummy's tummy but then it got light and cold.
this post reminds me of something i had till now forgotten,

when i was 9 my next door neighbor of the same age was my best friend, he had a younger brother who was almost 3 years and just learning to communicate, i remember one day when i was alone with the younger one i asked him what he remembers from before he was born (i remember wording it multiple ways to get him to understand the question) and he kept telling me he was everywhere with big arms spread out to the sky, repeating the question other ways he would say he was everything again with arms wide to the sky, even at that age it gave me chills and stuck with me.

My daughter mentioned one time that she picked me to be her mommy. This was also said by my niece to my sister in a slightly different way.

She said it after I read the Tibetan book of life and death, so it made perfect sense that she said it.

Interesting. Was there something that prompted you to ask that question or were you just curious?

My mom was going through an old notebook when she saw a post-it note she had written on years ago, but had forgotten about completely. The date was ?/?/1993, so I would have been almost five years old. The note said "today (my name) asked me does the devil make me itch". Weird. I grew up in an Eastern Rite Catholic family, although my grandmother was the only one who was really religious, and she didn't speak English.

I have this problem where I constantly feel itchy/stinging/creepy crawler sensations all over my body. I thought it came about in my teens, but it may have always been happening. I think as a young kid, I was trying to figure out why I was always itching if I couldn't see anything. I never did see anything, but I guess I considered it a possibility.

Now, I do recall vivid nightmares of really creepy monsters chasing me around. I even had dreams of guys chasing me around with guns. These were around the ages of 4 or 5 years. Sometimes I woke up sweating, but I eventually got a kick out of the ones that recurred. I guess I found it funny that I would see the same monster do the same stuff, so I realized I was dreaming.

I don't know if this was a dream or an actual apparition or hypnogogic vision, but once when I was about 5 years old, I saw Michael Jackson outside my window whispering my name, which freaked me the hell out. This is no joke, dude. I knew who MJ was, and I grew up hearing his music on vinyl. I had never heard anything negative about him, and I doubt he was even in legal trouble at the time. I never told my parents about it. I thought it was dream. Obviously, I didn't really believe the King of Pop walked up to my window. I figured it was a nightmare or some kind of demon impersonating him.

Dying laughing bc (I am in late 30's) used to want to marry Michael Jackson and I remember not knowing if he was a girl or boy but wanted to "marry" him, about 5 yrs old.

Can you lucid dream, maybe the itching was trying to teach you to lucid dream, you can do "things" when you lucid dream.

Remember: what is good is not always good and what is bad is not always bad

I have a had good few lucid dreams that I remember. By that, I mean that I'm that I'm dreaming, and I can change the scenery. For example, my room looks different, so I know this is my 'dream room', so I manifest a computer and start surfing the web. I used to have dreams that I was flying quite often. Even now, almost weekly, I have dreams where I levitate. I tend to have a lot of violent dreams, I guess they're 'nightmares', except I'm not scared. Normally, I feel sick when I see blood. But, in my dreams I can shoot, stab, chop and choke multiple attackers. When I get annoyed with the dream, or if the monster guys get the upper hand, I commit dream 'suicide' by waking up.

I'd say the coolest dreams are the ones with Shiva, Vishnu and other Hindu deities. They happen during deep sleep, or when falling into trance while meditating on mantras.

well, i have no children myself but once, a few years ago in my long hair/goatee muso phase, while walking down the street, a small child walking with her mother, walking past in the opposite direction, stopped and said to me;

"are you my grandad?" (short pause) .. "are you god?" she then continued on her way (without waiting for an answer) leaving me somewhat flummoxed. go figure, as they say.

When my youngest son was two, he used to talk about "the snakes" he was afraid of before going to bed at night.
One day I was outside gardening and he was jabbering away to me, he pointed out a spot in the yard and said it was where the snakes would come down and put their "car that flies". He said they sometimes come to get him and take him up in their car that flies.

He said "they said they made me".
I asked what he meant. He said "they cut eggs, and make babies" (making a scissor action with his fingers).

None of us knew what these "snakes" were supposed to look like, until one day he saw an image in a magazine of the typical "grey".... and he started screaming hysterically that it was a snake and started crying.

So cool to read what other peoples children come out with! My daughter is six now, and as soon as she could talk she started telling me about her life 'before she was born'. She said that she lived in Africa, with a lady that she called Pink Grandma in an old house with lots of other children who didn't have families. She described herself and the other children as having dark skin, and described having her arm in traction. She also told me that, before I was her mummy, I was a little boy with her. She said that she didn't live to be a grownup then, and died when she was still little. She was always very matter of fact about it, but she did cry sometimes because she missed Pink Grandma so much. She stopped remembering her life in Africa once she turned five, but she still mentions dreaming about Pink Grandma from time to time. She also said that she had lived many times before this incarnation, 'in so many countries, but I wanted to be born here this time'.

She also had a strange way of knowing things that were going to happen. As soon as she could talk, she told me that she was going to have a brother when she was five. It seemed unlikely, as I had split up with her father and was not in a relationship, but she repeated it so often that it was the first thing I thought of when I did indeed accidentally fall pregnant and had a baby when she was five. As soon as I told her, she laughed and told me that she was going to have another brother as well, but that it wouldn't be for another few years (strangely, I have always had dreams about having three children - an elder girl and two boys - since I was a girl, although I never told anyone).

She predicted my grandmother's death (two days before she unexpectedly went into hospital, my daughter suddenly announced that grandma was going to die, which she did indeed, although it was completely unexpected as she was in reasonably good health before). She has since said that she has seen her ghost in her dreams, and that grandma was happy to be with her parents again and would be born again as a baby one day.

I'm not exactly impartial, but I do think that she is a very special little girl. She does report seeing spirits around the house sometimes, but is unafraid and is extraordinarily matter of fact about death. She has always spoken about reincarnation as an absolute fact, and has strengthened my own belief in the immortal soul.

She is very special and you are a great mother for not discouraging her but letting her help you to believe.

This not really related but maybe someone has some insight:

My daughter, since she was an infant, would have a dream where she would smile very big, then about 20 secs later she would gasp and moan. This happened every night, every nap. I knew when I saw the sleeping smile what was going to happen in 20 secs.

The dreams disappeared, however they are coming back, now 4 yrs old. The smile, the same gasping/moaning 20 secs later. Not every night but about once a week. When I ask her about it she doesn't want to talk about it, then claims to have forgotten.

Anyone know what it terrorizing her? Is she dreaming her past death? Drowned or Choked by someone she trusted?

Maybe it doesn't make sense to her bc she has her new lil brain and new thoughts and trying to make sense of the death with her own limited thoughts?

I wish should would tell me.
