oh, you know, i'm rather shy when it comes to publishing something to a public. my fingers tremble and my hands get sweaty before i dare to hit the button to join a competition with all of you awesome artists from this thread. it's not easy. thanks for the encouragement anyway! and i very likely will try

HI there. Just tell us what you would like to see in an avatar.. the sky is the limit. This is a collaborative thread so one or more folks may jump in and take a stab at your request. you pick what you like, make suggestions for tweaks, etc.

Just a drive by to let folks know we will be having a Halloween/Harvest Contest shortly.
It'll be for avatars backgrounds and extended backgrounds.

What's the current rules for avatars now? I've been away from the topic too long and think they may have changed.

Dimensions for both backgrounds and the avatars themselves?

based on what you are currently using, it looks like you have the right idea. I think its 200X1500(ish) on the background. Avatar, i can't remember. Something like 170x240. I can look it up in a few...im just swooping through between tasks.
